About this house rental
Our home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (with a full sleeper sofia in the living room) with a cover patio to sit outside and enjoy hosting your guests like we do. The property also includes a round 16 ft above ground pool, fire pit area, barbecue, external two gas range system, cable tv, high speed internet (including WiFi), and mosquito misting system for a bite free outdoor experience. Since the home is located on the second floor the property provide easy parking for 6 vehicles and a full entrance for boat parking. This very quite neighbor allows for full disconnect and enjoyment of the real keys life. Our home is located approximately 75 ft from a private boat access ramp, with a tiki hut with tables.

Great location for paddling through Mangrove lined waterways. Convent location for shopping and tourism. Comfortable living. The porch is like being in a tree house.

We enjoyed our stay in this cozy home in Key Largo! Though smaller, one benefit is that the home is next to a community boat ramp for easy launching of water craft. House is solid built with nice wood work throughout. Furniture, bedding and some areas could benefit from updating (owner stated they are working on that). Master bath was newly renovated upon our arrival. Some communications with owner were spotty in the beginning (due to owner out of country), but improved closer to and during stay. Had issues with water heater and homeowner came quickly to try and address. We had some other concerns we expressed to homeowner which he says he is working to remedy as well. Would rent again if we were staying in the area.

Miguel had provided us with everything we needed for our month stay. Normally stays do not provide all of the extras. We are accustomed to arriving at places and having only the basics. Miguel’s place covered not only the basics but the things we typically have to run to the grocery store the day that we arrive to supply the duration of the stay. All of those little things were covered.
Also, the place was completely quiet tucked away from the main road and in a spot where we could walk to restaurants and bars.
The most important fact we can state here is that if anything goes wrong with anything during your stay, Miguel handles it same day. His responsiveness is timely and resourceful. Small issue with dryer and both washer and dryer were replaced with brand new ones next day.
We will be staying again. Made some great memories in a legendary location and home

We were lucky enough to be able to spend the whole month of February at Miguel’s Happy Place. What a truly Happy Place it was. We spent one week just the two of us, one week with friends, one week with family, and then a final week with just the two of us. The house adapted to all of our entertaining needs. The weather was fantastic (80 – 85 with little to no humidity). The location was excellent. The house is in a quiet little neighborhood which was perfect for relaxing. There is a bike path up and down route 1 that we were able to ride along. We especially liked biking to Dagney Johnson State Park where we discovered some wonderful wildlife. There is access to a boat ramp right across the street which allowed us to kayak through some beautiful mangroves. We were serenaded by a whole orchestra of birds which provided a delightful tune. We were also able to kayak out to the shipwreck in Garden Cove, where we did some snorkeling right from the kayaks. The place is near John Pennekamp State Park which has a nice beach, snorkeling, and kayaking opportunities. While the house has a pool (taken care of by a nice gentleman named Freddy), we also discovered some local swimming pools that have splash parks for younger kids – the Jacobs Aquatic Center and Founders Park. The house itself is beautiful. We really enjoyed the screened-in-porch. Being able to sit out and enjoy the breeze and not be eaten by bugs in the evenings was great. The full kitchen and grill allowed us to eat most of our meals at home where we cooked up some wonderful fresh fish. The wifi was fast enough to allow my husband to “work from home” and also stream movies at night. Miguel, the owner, was wonderful. He responded promptly to any questions that we had and provided some great recommendations for places to eat. We especially enjoyed Snook’s Bayside Restaurant. This was a great place to stay and we hope to stay there again next year if it’s available. We highly recommend it as a great place to stay for anyone who wants to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather and outdoor activities that the area provides.
