Hiša stare mame is a lovely and affordable bed and breakfast in a lush, green area, approximately a 20-minute walk from the centre of Kamnik. Our room was cosy, spotless, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The complimentary towels and slippers were especially useful when we enjoyed the jacuzzi. Breakfast was generous and well organised, while the shared kitchen had everything needed to prepare your own lunch or dinner. The location also makes it an excellent base for exploring the surrounding region. Velika Planina is around a 15-minute drive away, while central Ljubljana can be reached in approximately 30 minutes. For travellers with a car, this is a comfortable, practical, and reasonably priced place to stay. Highly recommended.

Although the property is situated near a main road that can become busy and noisy at times, the windows block out the sound remarkably well when closed. The air conditioning was therefore particularly useful for cooling the room before bedtime without having to leave the windows open.

Host is great, place is clean and peaceful. Would definately go back!

Friendly owners, organized some bio food for our new born baby, very hospitable

Obvious attention to detail and care in the design of the whole place, lovely woodwork and natural materials used. Cute kitchen/ eating area. Nice spa pool in room. Very friendly owner who greeted us, easy check in and parking directly in front of property. Pet friendly.

We wanted to absolutely love this place but unfortunately the bed was extremely uncomfortable and there was loud drilling music all night that kept us awake. Very unfortunate as after a lovely spa session, we expected to fall asleep surrounded by the sounds of nature ( or silence). What with the uncomfortable bed, noise and many led lights throughout the room with curtains that didn’t make room dark it was less than satisfactory, especially at the price we paid.
