Comfortable, convenient and relaxing

Recently refurbished, Derw was smart and comfortable (and cool in the hot weather!). It was great to see how much thought had been given to providing all those things that holiday cottages so often lack - a hand towel in the kitchen, coat hooks, towel hooks in sensible places, a clothes drying rack, enough dishwasher tablets to last the week, spare toilet rolls, a shower mat, and a bin in every room. The bed was comfy, the reclining sofa fab, and a lovely spacious shower. We also enjoyed the hot tub. Nicola and John were lovely friendly hosts and on hand to assist with any queries. The location was very convenient for exploring North Wales.

The fridge was small (but had a reasonable freezer compartment).

a very easy happy stay.

follow through by hosts to help us with enquiries - helped us feel cared for. access for coast path and transport / roads on island excellent. obviously hot tub was great after walking generosity of hosts with welcome sparkle, cake and milk

really difficult to think of anything that we were irritated by - ....Oh because of great facilities needing to be fitted the fridge is a little low near floor , with freezer above - not great for a 6foot person - definitely a first world problem and no real difficulty

Perfect spot for a North Wales break!

Everything was absolutely perfect! Spotlessly clean, the hot tub was gorgeous and a real highlight feature of the property, and the bed and recliner couch were super comfy too. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need for a little self catering holiday, and the little welcome gifts were a lovely surprise! Nicola and John are so friendly and helpful and extremely hospitable! The location is lovely and peaceful, and it's only 10-15 mins drive in either direction to supermarkets etc. Well located for visiting Porthmadog, Snowdonia, Portmeirion, Harlech and other spots around the Llyn Peninsula. We'll definitely return if we're back in North Wales!

Excellent cottage, just the right size for two mature people. Clean, great Wifi, great hot tub, nice comfy bed and everything at hand. Nice welcoming package of Welch Cake and bottle of Prosecco, which was much appreciated.
