Set within a small farmstead, Casa do Tamanqueiro owes its name to the fact that a clog-maker once lived there.
It is located in northern Portugal, in the heart of the Estorãos Valley, in the municipality of Ponte de Lima, in the lush Minho region, very close to the Peneda-Gerês National Park (26 min) and relatively close to the Spanish border (30 min).
Renovated for tourism since 1979, Casa do Tamanqueiro has been carefully restored using regional materials and in keeping with the style of the era in which it was built, while incorporating modern construction techniques to ensure the comfort of its guests.
Decorated with soul, it features artifacts from a farm and objects from rural daily life.
The farm borders the Estorãos River, which offers wonderful moments of leisure and fun, especially for children.
