Manuel was waiting on arrival, although do not rely on google maps, ask Manuel for directions! The villa was spacious for four of us and easy to navigate. We liked the quiet location, it is a short drive or walk to reach El Cotillo for shopping, restaurants, beaches etc. The pool area is not overlooked by neighbouring properties which was very welcome however if either side are occupied you will inevitably hear each other when using outside. Manuel left some suppies, including a bottle of wine, which was a lovely gesture.
As mentioned before the villa does need some attention, fixtures and fittings are starting to wear and in need of maintenance or replacing. Whilst it doesn’t detract from the solid structure of the villa it does lose on the full enjoyment given the cost of rental. There isn’t air conditioning, not a problem in January, and there are mosquito nets over the beds but they need to be properly fixed so they dont sag onto the bed when you are sleeping. The location is good if you don’t mind a short walk after a night out (20 mins or so) but there is nothing in El Roque itself.

The property is very private, well appointed and comfortable. We like the quiet location of El Roque. The closest restaurants are in el Cotillo, which is about a 20/25 minutes walk or 5 minutes by car.
You will need a car to move around the island, the property does not have its own parking space but there is ample of space to park outside the villa.
We travelled with two teenagers and we all have plenty of space. The pool area is lovely and the water was perfect.
The beaches and water sports around the area are great
Our host, Manuel, was fabulous and could not have been any more accommodating to our needs
