Villa Orchidea + Garden + parking and motorcycle parking + all the comforts

We've had a very pleasant vacation at Villa Orchidea, the house is very nice, roomy and clean, and the hosts were perfect. I strongly recommend, and will come back !

La casa è esattamente come viene descritta e i proprietari sono veramente cortesi e disponibili. 3 camere da letto, un soggiorno molto ampio, una cucina, un bagno , una lavanderia, una doccia esterna e due terrazzi ampi. La proprietà è al piano terra di un villa bifamiliare (abitata al primo piano da altri proprietari) che si trova in un piccolo borgo abitato da poche centinaia di persone. Nel borgo ci sono un bar/ristorante/pizzeria/tabacchi di buon livello, un market ed una chiesa. Il mare più vicino si trova a circa un km di distanza e sitrova nella riserva del fiume platani con una spiaggia che a volte ha la sabbia e a volte i ciotoli (a seconda della mareggiate). Nei dintorni ci sono tantissime spiagge belle, bellissime e quasi sempre poco affollate. Nella casa non abbiamo sofferto il caldo nonostante non ci siano i condizionatori ma solo una pala a tetto nel soggiorno perchè è una zona molto ventilata.

Ci siamo trovati veramente bene . Ottimo punto di partenza per visitare località e spiagge dei dintorni. Grazie all' ospitalità dei proprietari sempre presenti ad ogni necessità e senz' altro consiglierei la casa a nostri amici.

We have stayed on the Villa Orchid for two times. First time was in June, the second in the end of September. Both times were delightful. On the Villa there is everything you may need except a dishwashing machine. Balcony and terrace are located especially convenient. If it is windy on the balcony, in is completely calm on the terrace. Willa suits perfectly for small children. The terrace surrounded by fence. You can lock the gate if you need (though we never did it). Children will enjoy throwing different objects from the terrace. There is enough parking space for two cars.The Villa is situated in quiet village not far from the sea, natural reserve and Ancient Greek ruins. There is a small shop nearby where you can find food and vine. The beach is 10 – 15 minutes walk from the Villa, though it may be difficult to come back as you will have to walk up the hill. The road to the beach goes through the natural reserve. Usually there are not many people on the beach. In the end of September, it was almost empty. You can easily reach different tourist attractions by car. We haven’t seen any public transport. It is possible that there are some public transport routes, but we didn’t check this.The owners are wonderful people. We often travel and rent housing but have never met such attitude. Nino and his family did everything to make us feel like home not only at the Villa but also in Sicily. Dear friends, thank you for the wonderful time we had at your home. We will surely come again!
