Casa Viggiano in the Heart of Amalfi

Location was perfect one street over from the main street in Amalfi!

La casa era dotata di ogni comfort e arredata nei minimi dettagli. L’host gentile e disponibile ci ha fatto sentire a casa, facendoci trovare tutto il necessario e anche di più per un piacevole soggiorno

Location was great, right in Amalfi near the main street. We loved the view of the Torre della Ziro Castle outside of the window so much that we hiked up to it the next day! Lots of steps, but it was spectacular. Also, there were several nice restaurants very close to the flat. Easy access to the internet and Vittoria had a board with recommendations and checked in with us to make sure all was well. Communication in English was superb. Love What's App. There were all sorts of goodies waiting for us, breakfast, coffee, fruit. One little tip: do not skip a tour of the paper museum, it sounds a bit boring but the mechanical machinery they have was fascinating and the guide was awesome!

The property itself was nice it had two bathrooms and the bed was comfortable, its a small uphill walk away from amalfi’s main street and its pretty cozy for a short stay!

What i didn’t like is the way the staff treated us, before being allowed to enter the apartment we had to wait in front of a restaurant that was in a dark alleyway for someone to come guide us to the accomodation. But it turns out we first had to pay our city tax in cash before being allowed to see the apartment which honestly is unheard of and a uncommon practice. It had something to do with that the owner wasn’t actually on site
