As with any property, you hope the listing matches the online description/photos. This was our experience with Casa Reina. Given that the property is 'hidden' by a tall privacy wall, it wasn't possible to see it from the street, but it was a great reveal once we opened the gate. This home had the adobe vibe, starting w the turquoise front door. A cluster of cacti occupied one corner of the front yard, which was shaded by a big tree. Once inside, the home's 1930s character was on display w a combo of hardwood and Saltilo tile flooring, plus area rugs. Tho the temps were in the mid 80s/low 90s and a few days in the low 100s, the inside temp stayed cool, likely to the old school construction (i.e. thick walls) and of course the A/C. We really enjoyed the back patio where we spent most of our outdoor time. It had both covered and open areas, plus high privacy walls. We were familiar w Tucson having visited 7 times, so we were a bit concerned that the location close to Broadway (one of the main roadways) would be noisy. But it was quiet, both when sitting on the back patio in the evening and sleeping. The place was clean, beds were comfy, the bedding and linens top shelf, the kitchen well-appointed and the hosts welcoming, even stocking the fridge w water, providing chips n salsa and baked cookies. Ann's love of art is evident in the LR. Make sure to bring a windshield shade; if you plan to turn E on Broadway, drive N to 8th or 7th to turn right on Campbell or it's a LONG wait!

This was a perfect spot for our trip! The property was safe and clean and absolutely beautiful. Plenty of space! My husband and I traveled with his parents and we didn't feel cramped. It was a perfect blend of privacy and communal spaces. Close to everything (well, speaking as a Tucson-native, it's as close as anything is in Tucson lol) and in a safe neighborhood. The hosts were incredibly kind and communicative! We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or to recommend it to friends! It was absolutely perfect. Thanks, Ann and Bruce, for a marvelous stay!!

The location was great! Our house made us cookies which was nice. We choose to stay at a VRBO so have the option of cooking. There were very little staples like seasonings, tin foil etc. There isn’t much storage in one of the bedrooms. We had to put our clothes in the drawer in the hallway. The smaller bathroom had no counter space to put any toiletries. These are all personal preferences. The backyard is beautiful and a nice space!
