I would recommend this apartment if you are visiting the Omagh area

The perfect rest place is in a great location. The owner quickly remedied a minor issue we had with the tv, was friendly, and gave us some good tips about the area. The property offers everything one needs for a short stay.

The mattress was a little set oft for me but was fine for my husband.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU BOOK - all is not as it seems

Breakfast was really good and lots of it

Honestly - I travel a lot for work and have NEVER come across a hotel with such a split personality as this. I booked it as a special treat for my husband's birthday based on the images on here and the reviews, expecting to drive up an entrance and see the castle-like image I had seen on this site - instead we were welcomed by a view of a scruffy, cheap pub and a reception that was worse than some of the Travelodges I've seen. The only sign of the historic building was the chimneys. The rest was hidden around the back. We got the keys, were directed to the stairs as there was NO LIFT (maybe I missed this in the info, but as my husband has a back problem, this was a big issue for us). The room was dark, basic and DEFINITELY not worth the €200 I had paid. We had booked a family room, but were given two adjoining rooms - I tried to open the adjoining door, and the bolt fell off in my hands. I was in tears, the birthday surprise was a birthday nightmare and stress levels hit the roof. My husband complained because I couldn't speak for being so upset. and the duty manager - in all fairness to him, did his best and offered us a different room in the older part of the hotel. Yes this room was much better, but by now the stress and the upset had ruined the joy of it. Even in this nice room the net curatin in the room was tatty and ripped, the beds had a cheap topper on them which came off as soon as you lay on it. We went down to get dinner in the Ramblewood and after sitting down to a dirty table, then seeing the dry patties that were being served as burgers at £18 each we left to find a place in town to eat in. If you are booking this hotel thinking you are getting a beautiful heritage building and peaceful grounds then be sure to call ahead and ask what part of the hotel your room is in - the Travelodge part or the historic part.

Friendly owner, wonderful apartment, Ideal for visiting Omagh and the Folk Park

The owner was very flexible with my arrival time and contacting me directly after I sent a message through the app. The accommodation had all the trappings of an apartment with cooking facilities, microwave and fridge. The property is perfectly located for traveling by car to explore Omagh and very convenient to the Ulster American Folk Park which is a must for travel enthusiast.

It really is The Perfect Rest Place

Exactly as I have said in the title. This place had absolutely everything I needed, it was like a little apartment or bedsit with a TV, bathroom and shower, cooking area and a really comfy bed. It's just over a half an hour walk to Omagh Town Centre but there is a Spar Convenience Store just a ten minute walk from here. It was really great to meet Philip, he is a true gent and a man who would go out on a limb for you, and also Louise who is an astute mountain climber! I am most definitely coming back here, it's one of the most enjoyable stays I've had and I'd really recommend it. Thank you again, Philip and Louise YNWA

Located very close to event we were attending. Good shower and comfy bed

No privacy, could hear family in house attached playing music, speaking to each other, flushing their toilet and filling their dish washer. Heating was controlled by house attached and found it very warm throughout night and cold during day. Dog barking very time we went out back. I believe this accommodation was wrongly advertised through booking.com. pictures are of the house the owners live in, there is no garden to sit in, only a door separating you from their family home. Felt we were living in the house with them and had to whisper

The host Phil was great, he was so helpful and friendly. The accommodation was perfect, it was like a mini apartment, and it was spotlessly clean. It had everything you could need and more. Cooking facilities, fridge, microwave etc. Big TV with Netflix, Prime and more. The bed was really comfy, as was the recliner sofa. I can't recommend it enough and would stay again.
