The comforter, linens, and soaps/shampoos were all very nice. Classy traditional decor. Comfortable bed. Nice garden view from our room. Lots of wardrobe space and location was close to town, yet quiet as well. House was built by owner for their family and has a classic period feel with grand entryway/staircase.
Note: WIFI does not work. bumped me off several times, weak, and I could not work. We arrived and owner didn't get message yet of our stay. So we waited outside a few minutes while she finished prepping last minute. She sprayed some sort of perfume or something on a bed blanket which made the room smell of chemicals. It was overall clean room, but the bottom mattress/skirt area is getting dingy and little areas of some dust. Also no milk in the room for our coffee, and the whole coffee drawer was sort of messy and didn't have much. We also paid $5 pounds more than the reservation and were going to have some breakfast (it doesn't include breakfast if you pay on booking.com because of her fees there) so she kept the $5 i guess for breakfast, but we left early in the morning about half hour before we were going to have breakfast. The house was silent as if no one was awake and dark. So she kept the $5 and didn't return it through booking.com and we had no contact upon leaving. The whole experience was just not smooth and didn't want to hear all the complaints about the fees, etc. She's a nice, funny woman and we appreciated the comforts of the room, she just seemed scattered and overwhelmed, which then made us a bit anxious. Got the feeling she can't keep up anymore with this massive house.

Breakfast for an extra pay very delicious. Very comfortable and lovely place. I recommend the stay.
