It is in Mêda, on of the most beautiful areas of Portugal, with fields of wines, olives and almond trees. It is a simple, affordable, hotel, not fancy, but has large rooms, with proper duvets that are warm enough in the cold nights, a good breakfast with bread-rolls ham, cheese, and good coffee. The place is clean, staff are friendly and it is located close to a few local restaurants and a pizzeria. In the summer you can swim in the public, outdoor swimming pool, which is located a short stroll from the hotel. The wine in the area is excellent. You can go on walks in the beautiful area or drive to one of the nearby villages. Remember to bring your camera or sketching book!

Not much. Maybe only that public transport is scarce in the area and there are no Ubers. You need a car to get the areas potential. You can also take a train from Porto to Pochiño and find a taxi there to get to Mêda or get friends to pick you up at the train station in Celorico the Beira.

O hotel está muito bem localizado. O staff demostrou disponibilidade e simpatia. O pequeno almoço foi muito bom.

The lady at reception when we arrived after a long day was helpful and cheerful. The log burner in reception was a welcome sight. Breakfast was plentiful and the coffee strong.

The hotel is showing its age and is in need of an update. The wiring in the wardrobe was best not seen. That said, it was exactly what we thought it would be, a simple hotel for a night stop before travelling on.
