"It was charming. The grounds outside are exceptional. We really enjoyed sitting by the fire pit. The rooms are a bit dated (but that added to the charm), but they were clean and comfortable. The staff..."

WE DID NOT REALIZE THERE WAS A BREAKFAST - MAYBE THE CLERK COULD HAVE REMINDED US UPON CHECK-IN - HOWEVER, WHEN WE HAD ALREADY CHECKED OUT WE DID REQUEST AN ITEM AND THE CLERK WAS VERY ACCOMODATING TO BRINGING THAT ITEM RIGHT TO US IN OUR CAR (WE HAD TO COME BACK FOR A FORGOTTEN ITEM) IT WAS VERY KIND OF HIM AS WERE WE AN ELDERLY COUPLE :)
WE COULD NOT FIND ANY INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO OPERATE THE FIREPLACE OR THE COFFEEMAKER - IT WOULD HELP IF A SHEET EXPLAING THAT AND REMINDER OF THE BREAKFAST YOU SERVE LEFT ON THE TABLE WHEN WE ENTERED THE ROOM WOULD HAVE BEEN HELPFUL - ALSO ON THAT INSTURCTION SHEET PERHAPS WHERE THE THEMOSTATS ARE LOCATED WOULD ALSO HELP

What a lovely way to spend a weekend! The atmosphere was homey, and a throwback to earlier motel days. Created with love by a hard worker, it was a place. Dad, you could feel at home and spend the whole day just in the back of the property watching time go by. Location was excellent and everything was super clean..
We didn't mind, but some might feel that it is outdated and needs more modern facilities. It is quaint and functional the way it is. Personally, we didn't use the pools due to weather so I don't know how those are, but there is a lovely European feel to the facilities.
