Title: Exceptional Hospitality! Accommodating and Spacious, with a Few Details to NoteWe had a wonderful stay and Bernie was incredibly pleasant to deal with, highly responsive, and made the communication process seamless. The house itself was exceptionally clean and offered plenty of spacious room for our group to gather and relax.We rented a 20’ pontoon boat from a local company and had it overnight, conveniently tied to the boat dock without issues. Renting a boat made this property more enjoyable.We want to share a few quick notes for future guests to help manage expectations, as a couple of the listing photos are slightly misleading. The view of the lake is about 80% obstructed by the dock and boathouse. Also, while there are two photos captioned “beach,” there is actually no beach area on the property. Lastly, remember to pack your own linens and bath, hand and beach towels, as they are not included.Despite these photo discrepancies, the excellent hospitality and pristine house made for a great trip. We highly recommend this host!

We had a great 4th of July weekend on Bernie’s property. It’s at the end of a cove with quick access to Jimmie’s Creek and the main lake. We brought our own little 19’ outboard and were able to tie it off the dock. It is a shared dock, so you can’t really hang out down there and jump off the side. The house was great, kitchen well appointed, AC was awesome, beds were comfortable, and the screened in porch was nice with morning coffee. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely time- that porch is a true respite and the host provided the cutest candles to enhance the ambiance! Delighted the property was dog friendly and we loved having use of the dock and kayaks.The house was well appointed and charmingly decorated. The kitchen was likely the best stocked and organized rental kitchen I’ve ever had- very impressed! However - I gave this property 4 stars due to the following: 1. Slightly misleading photos - while I don’t feel it is intentional - the cover photo makes the property appear to have direct waterfront view rather than being 80% obstructed by the boathouse. We booked under the assumption that would be the view. (See photos for representation)2. The host sent us an out-of-platform contract to sign that had pretty restrictive covenants and again, while I don’t think it is problematic to have such a contract, I do wish it were clear that would be required to maintain the reservation.3. Greater than average checkout chores and no linens provided (bedding or hand towels for bathrooms)- we knew about sheets but were surprised by hand towels. We booked a VRBO based on ads saying it’s no Airbnb with significant chores on vacation. All in all- solid 4 star stay.

We’re a group of friends that always spend some time on LKG every summer. The house was just what we needed. Adequate room, nice place to moor our boat, I got to bring my pup with me, & we loved the screened in porch! Would definitely stay here again!
