About this cottage rental
Kilcot Coach House is a detached cottage within the frounds of Kilcot House. The cottage is well maintained and furnished to a high standard making for a comfortable and relaxing stay.. Ground Floor:
Open plan living space.
Living area: 56" TV, Freesat, Smart TV, DVD Player
Dining area.
Kitchen area: Electric Oven, Gas Hob, Microwave, Fridge (Small Freezer Compartment), Dishwasher, Coffee Machine
Utility Room: Washer Dryer
First Floor:
Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed Ensuite: Walk-In Shower, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet
Bedroom 2: Double (4ft 6in) Bed Ensuite: Walk-In Shower, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack. Patio, garden furniture and BBQ. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: No chidren under 5, except babes in arms. There is an unfenced stream in the garden.. Kilcot Coach House is entered through the utility room, which is fitted with a washer/dryer. You then enter the spacious open plan kitchen, living and dining area. The kitchen is well equipped with everything a guest could need. There is a hard floor throughout and the exposed brick walls really create ambience and character and you can still envisage the property as it once was. Upstairs there are two large double rooms, both fitted with en-suite shower rooms.
Outside the property is a small patio area with garden furniture for guests to sit out and enjoy an evening drink, barbecue or morning coffee. The extended garden to Kilcot House is for the owners use
An ideal property for couples to get away and enjoy the local area.
In a rural location, amidst the rolling uplands of the south Cotswolds and within a 20-mile radius, you can visit stunning Georgian Bath with Thermae Spa and Bath Abbey. Bristol with the SS Great Britain, We The Curious, Bristol suspension bridge, or travel to Gloucester and visit the Cathedral, The Quays for shopping, Bowood House in Chippenham and Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust. Visit the historic town of Tetbury, the market town of Wotton-under-Edge, or the farmers market in Stroud, Westonbirt arboretum, Dyrham Park and for fans of Poldark, you can visit Chavenage House and Horton Court. We stayed at Kilcott Coach house for a week in October with our dog. Kim and Alex were there to greet us when we arrived and were very friendly. We had a really lovely welcome basket which included homemade cake and jam, also fresh butter and milk-extremely useful as the property is a bit more isolated than we thought it would be! It's a great location for walking - being opposite the Cotswold Way and we didn't use the car once and covered several miles in the week by walking to many pubs. I did not like that the garden was not fully enclosed though so when you are at the back door letting your dog out it can run into their garden! Although they didn't mind, I did as i didn't like him out of my sight. There is also a stream at the bottom of the garden. There is a brilliant hose outside to wash dogs (and boots!) down with and a useful utilty area to dry things. We did say the property would benefit from a radio as it is soo quiet that we put the tv on for noise at breakfast! The beds were super comfy, it was very quiet all round and great hot showers were had after a long day.
