Casa Paraiso do Sol is a brand-new apartment within the beautiful Horta da Galvao development close to the centre of the old town of Lagos.
The apartment is situated on the first floor and comprises of a delightful entrance hall that leads to a bright open plan lounge with TV and internet, a dining area and well-equipped kitchen.
There are two bedrooms both with fitted wardrobes, the master has a king size bed and full en-suite bathroom. The guest room has twin beds, which can be zipped together to form a large double bed and this room is serviced by an adjacent family shower room.
Both bedrooms and the lounge have sliding patio doors that lead directly to the large sun terrace with a comfortable sofa and coffee table as well as a matching dining suite for al-fresco dining.
The pool is located on the roof of the complex and can be accessed via an elevator or staircase. There are also sun loungers and parasols up there to make the most of the sunshine all day.
Casa Paraiso do Sol is set in a superb location close to the Marina, beach, supermarkets, and the old town making it an ideal base for a family holiday.

The apartment was clean and had all the facilities we needed. Beds were a little too firm for my liking.
The property manager that allowed us in was a lot briefer than for our other 2 VRBO stays in Portugal. The little attentions sometimes make a difference. We also never got the second set of keys we were promised and our sms reminder was never replied to.
It was a short 10 minutes walk down and up, to and from the center. After walking Porto and Lisboa, we were in good shape. The bus station is very close. The large balcony and the pool on the roof were a bonus after a hot day exploring.
We were pleasantly surprised how safe Lagos felt. Even in the area of the apartment where sidewalks are much less busy, everything went smoothly.
Overall, we felt we selected an appartement we would recommend. Thank you.

Overall, the property was excellent and I would stay there again. A bit shocked to see a building site opposite our balcony but generally didn’t cause any issues. The pool was great and generally had it to ourselves. The Wi-Fi was good although it needs boosting to the main bedroom. Air conditioning was good although the unit in the main bedroom is in the wrong place as it is only effective to one side of the room. Well stocked apartment but could do with some more everyday glasses as kids get through them quickly.
A good location for a great holiday with everything in walking distance.
