UnseThe vacation home (chalet): “Willerby Aspen” offers all the comforts you could wish for on vacation. The amenities, which leave nothing to be desired, promise pure relaxation and the perfect vacation experience. The chalet is located in the scenic Vulkaneifel region, just a few minutes from the town of Daun. Through the large patio doors in the living room, you have access to the patio as well as a beautiful view of the valley. On sunny days, you can relax and barbecue on the patio all day long. (Garden furniture and a grill are provided.) Cars are permitted on the property only for loading and unloading luggage. The wooded surroundings are ideal for hiking and mountain biking, offering plenty of nature and recreational opportunities. The landscape is distinctive in both summer and winter. Volcanic maars—such as the Schalkenmehrener Maar, the Wallender Born, and the Lavabombe—are just a few of the many attractions. A visit to Germany’s oldest city, Trier, is also always worth the experience. In short: a versatile vacation destination that has something to offer for every taste! Regular events: Every two years, Daun hosts the “Tatort Eifel” crime fiction festival, which attracts renowned crime writers from across the German-speaking world. The German Short Crime Fiction Award is also presented during this festival. Vulkan Bike Eifel Marathon (a mountain bike marathon through the Eifel Mountains; also: Vulkan Bike Trail Park, Vulkan Bike Extreme, and Vulkan Bike Cross-Country; ADAC Eifel Rally; Maare-Mosel Run). And last but not least, the world-famous “Nürburgring,” with its car and motorcycle races and the three-day music festival “Rock am Ring,” is just a few kilometers away.
