About this house rental
In our high-quality, modernly equipped vacation home, located right on the edge of the forest, the whole family can enjoy a relaxing vacation in Wernigerode in 80 m² of living space.
The vacation home’s location offers an ideal starting point for turning your vacation into an unforgettable experience: enjoy long hikes—for example, to Wernigerode Castle—or action-packed mountain bike tours (R1 trail, 50 m away) through the beautiful Harz National Park.
Other great destinations for day trips include: the Wernigerode Aviation Museum, the Hasserode Vacation Park (4 km away) with its sauna area, a ride on the Harz Narrow-Gauge Railroad to the Brocken, the Rübeland Stalactite Caves, a aerial cableway ride to the Hexentanzplatz in Thale, and a visit to the “Kleiner Harz” miniature park in Wernigerode’s Bürgerpark.
The city center is within walking distance (about 20 minutes); a supermarket and a bus stop are located 600 meters away.
The bedrooms are furnished with high-quality box-spring beds from FBF and offer all the amenities for a restful night’s sleep. There is ample storage space in the bedrooms.
Towels and bed linens are included in the room rate.
The loft-style, light-filled living and dining area features a large glass front that offers a view of the property’s outdoor area. The large dining table provides ample space for several people. For your entertainment, there’s a large flat-screen TV with Smart TV, Netflix access, and free Wi-Fi.
The kitchen is equipped with a large refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, ceramic cooktop, oven, and microwave. Vinyl flooring is installed throughout the house, making it easy to keep clean and hygienic.
In the morning, you can enjoy the first rays of sunshine on the terrace with a cup of coffee. In the summer, it’s a wonderful spot for sunbathing, and in the evening, you can enjoy a cozy barbecue. (A gas grill is available.)
We offer our guests a seasonal hot tub from April through October.
Upon request, we’re happy to provide a travel crib and a high chair for our younger guests.
Keys are handed over via a key safe.
The town of Wernigerode is officially recognized as a resort, which is why a visitor’s tax (€3.50 per adult, €1.75 per child aged 6–17, 50% for people with severe disabilities) /*per night) is charged. Upon arrival, you will receive the “Wernigerode-ticket” tourist tax booklet, which allows you, among other things, to use local public bus transportation throughout the Harz region free of charge. Payment is due on the first day in cash on site or via PayPal.

Wir haben eine schöne erholsame Woche im wunderschönen Ferienhaus von Familie Baum verbracht. Die Ausstattung lies für uns keine Wünsche offen, alles sauber gepflegt und modern eingerichtet. Eine klare Empfehlung von uns

Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig, ein bisschen entfernt vom Zentrum von Wernigerode, das man aber durchaus noch zu Fuß erreichen kann (ca. 20 Minuten Weg). Es ist perfekt eingerichtet: von der Küchenausstattung bis zur Einrichtung der Terrasse für vier Personen ist alles vorhanden, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht. Die Betten sind sehr bequem.
Für unseren Hund war der große Rasen perfekt zum Toben, auch er hat sich sehr wohlgefühlt.
Der Kontakt mit den Vermietern war unkompliziert, das Ehepaar Baum ist sehr freundlich.
Kurz gesagt: wir kommen gerne wieder.

Vom Autoparklatz führt ein steiler Weg mit losem Schotter!, der nicht für "Gehbehinderte" geeignet ist, hinab zum Ferienhaus, das direkt unterhalb des Wohnhauses des Vermieters liegt. Blick des Vermieters direkt von oben auf die Terrasse (geschottert) und ins Wohnzimmer. Blick vom Ferienhaus auf Massen von Steingabionenwänden (dazwischen Schotter) und auf ein abgesperrtes Loch, das irgendwann mal ein Swimmingpool werden soll, mit dahinter liegenden Naturgrundstück. Begrenzte Aussicht nur von der nicht bewohnten Rückseite des Hauses. Von zwei Nachbargrundstücken ertönten abwechselnd zwei Maulwurfabwehr Ultraschallgeräte, die nachts bei offenem Fenster störend waren. Im Schlafzimmer! hinter einer Holzverkleidung knarzte regelmäßig ein Boiler bei Temperaturänderungen. Mit nicht zwingend notwendigen Gartenarbeiten beschäftigter Vermieter, entfernte sich widerwillig erst dann vom Ferienhausgrundstück, nachdem er dazu aufgefordert wurde.
Die Inneneinrichtung ist ok, sie wirkt aber hochwertiger als sie ist.
