About this house rental
Enjoy a relaxing vacation with family and friends at the Ilsestein vacation homes—which opened in 2019—amid the gentle murmur of the “Ilse” River. Our vacation homes offer plenty of space for pleasant moments with your loved ones.
They feature a spacious open-concept living and dining area with a comfortably furnished solid-wood kitchen and a large dining table that seats up to 8 people, a cozy leather sofa corner with a flat-screen TV, and a fireplace, which spreads cozy warmth throughout the house during the cold season. Four bedrooms with three double beds and two single beds provide a comfortable retreat.
In addition, there is an on-site sauna—just for you—that offers relaxation in every season. The vacation homes also feature a spacious bathroom on the first floor with a bathtub, shower/toilet, and washing machine. Another bathroom with a shower/toilet and sauna is located on the first floor.
You can enjoy the balmy summer evenings on your own terrace with a fantastic view of the Harz countryside. Of course, patio furniture and a grill are provided for your use. The spacious private outdoor area is perfect for sunbathing, playing, soccer, or barbecuing. The well-developed network of hiking trails, which also includes flat routes, leads you directly from your front door to many natural attractions—past cozy mountain inns—all the way to the highest mountain in Northern Germany: the Brocken. A wide variety of recreational activities are within walking distance of the vacation homes: a water playground, a Kneipp facility, a tree-top adventure course, a disc golf course, and the Ilsenburg National Park Visitor Center.
The historic town of Wernigerode, with its town hall and castle, is just a few minutes’ drive away. Bad Harzburg, with its treetop trail and saltwater spa; Thale, with the Hexentanzplatz and Roßtrappe; and many other excursion options invite you to explore the surrounding area.
