Blue Sea Hotel

The rooms are clean, well-equipped and rather high-tech. Our room has unobstructed view of the lake and sunrise. The owner, Mr Young, was truly kind and helpful - gave us good recommendation on places to visit and local food.

Mr. Young and his mother are running a lovely operation. The included home cooked breakfasts were so lovely. Mrs. Young made them herself in the kitchen. View was lovely from third floor. Waking up to lake Erhai was so nice. Easy access to amazing coffee shops on the lake. And an easy DiDi ride to the ancient towns and other things you might want to do in Dali. Will definitely stay here again!

A bit hard to find! Put this into DiDi: 云南省大理白族自治州大理市环海西路 Then walk through the alleyways towards the lake, and before you cross onto the new lake Erhai private loop road, the big double door is at an angle right at the T shaped intersection. Call the hotel if you have trouble, Mr. Young helped us find the property himself! (One of the included photos shows the alleyway you need to walk through. If you see this, you’re going the right way!!)

There is no proper signage or lobby for the hotel. Basically it is hidden at the back of all those old houses therefore given us a hard time locating this place. And breakfast is very minimal in fact only 1 to 2 choices.
