Sitting in the backyard where the trees are. It was really comfortable. The owner was available every time I needed her for something.

That I couldn’t stay there forever.

Segur de Calafell est une petite ville balnéaire calme et très familliale. La maison était bien aquipée avec vraiment tout le necessaire pour passer de bonnes vacances. Les 2 salles de bain étaient un plus pour notre famille de 5 personnes. La place de parking était bien utile aussi. La plage était à 15 mins et la gare à 10 mins de la maison. Nous nous sommes déplacés soit en train dans d'autres villes, soit à pied. Montse était très accueillante, agréable et toujours disponible comme hôte.

Nous aurions aimé profiter plus de la belle terrasse et l'extérieur de la maison mais malheureusement à cause des moustiques tigres nous n'avons pas pu le faire mais ce n'est pas propre à la maison.

Ca l'Irene is a comfortable and homey apartment in a prime location in Segur de Calafell. I stayed for 8 nights with 2 other people. It can comfortably accommodate up to 5 people. It's about a 9-minute walk to the train station, and about 15 minutes to the beach. The shower in the bigger bathroom is very nice. The living room and dining room are very welcoming, as is the backyard, which has a multiple tables, chairs, a clothesline, drying rack and an outdoor shower. It's also very pleasant outside; there are multiple fruit trees. I also appreciated that there were beach chairs available for us to bring with us to the beach. The kitchen also has everything one might need. And the AC units work very well. There were also board games and books available, which was a nice touch. The communication with the owner, Montse, was probably one of the things I liked the most. We communicated at first through the Booking platform, and then through Whatsapp. She was able to move my check in to one hour earlier than I had originally asked. Also, she and her husband came to the train station to pick us up, along with our luggage, so we wouldn't have to walk to the house with all of it. Along the way, she told me about things to do in the area and recommended multiple restaurants to eat at. And then she gave us a tour of the apartment, and explained other important details. She was very friendly and made us feel at home.

The only things I didn't like were the limited amount of towels (only one set of hand towels and shower towels per person), and how many mosquitos there were in the backyard and how easy they got in the house. Also, we had bad luck in that we came across multiple cockroaches throughout the house about halfway through our stay. I call it bad luck because no one had left food out and apparently there has been an infestation of cockroaches in households in this region of Spain this summer. I must say that Montse, the owner, was very considerate and helpful as soon as I brought this to her attention. And she is getting an exterminator to fix the issue. The insect issues were not something she could really control, and I personally don't think they should detract from all of the good things about this apartment and the surrounding area.

Muy cómodo, espacioso, zona tranquila, adaptado para acceder y moverte con silla de ruedas, con espacio para perros, niños. Todo lo que necesitas. Y Montse ha sido muy amable, atenta y flexible a nuestras necesitadas en todo el momento.
