Have to check in somewhere different, doesn’t tell you they get a 100$ deposit on top of that once you get there that takes ages to refund, the reception staff mumble and speak in a way that you can barely understand them and don’t seem intelligent enough to have a basic conversation with you. There’s also a very good reason they don’t give you a photo of the shower, felt like I was staying in a jail room, ended up checking out earlier and staying elsewhere

Stay at Victoria Apartment Hamilton 2025

Clean and tidy. Walking distance to supermarket and restaurants.

Customer service was far from good. Before I left home, I sent a message requesting whether or not there were charging facilities for a EV. I did not receive any response. On arrival at the apartment there were six people staying, but only four bath towels provided. I phoned the contact place and there was no response. I had to drive 1km to the contact centre to get 2 additional bath towels. There was no plug for the bathroom handbasin.

We brought our own food. Good location, dairy close by.Washing machine was handy, with our own balcony and clothes-airer. Upstairs location, good parking space close to our room. Staff were very helpful and polite.

Requires a small step to climb into and out of the shower. Not suitable for elderly people.

Comfortable family stay

We loved the location. The beds were comfortable. This unit was quiet. The unit had everything you could want for a stay and great for families with many beds in the space. I would recommend for families.

A couch would be nice for the space. Also needed is a pair of tongs as there is a full kitchen available, Blackout curtains would be a bonus if this is possible. There was mould around the bottom of shower cubicle.

The only positive was parking on site

The beds were literally the worst we've ever slept on, one thin blanket and scratchy sheets were not sufficient for such a place. We got hardly any sleep because of the terrible mattresses that should have been sent to the dump ten years ago. There was dust stuck to grease on the extractor fan, there was no couch, just two more uncomfortable beds. The shower was weak and had a leak which sprayed us in the face when turned on. The shower also seemed very dangerous with a large step to get in it. The toilet door felt like it was about to come off it's hinges. The reception, when called about the duvet situation, or lack thereof, was rude and didn't care, saying basically we get what we pay for. Looking on this site that evening, there were plenty of nicer rooms for far less money available. So no, I did not get what I paid for. Do not stay here unless you want no sleep and staff that don't care about the comfort of guests.

The cleaners who check the rooms each day were super lovely and helpful. Reception were great with every information that I needed. The apartment itself was very comfortable and spacious.

The size was good, the beds were fine, the location was good.

Checking in and out at a different address was not convenient. The facilities were very average at best. There was mould everywhere, especially the ceilings, that was very unpleasant.

It was fine, very expensive for what we got but I guess the All Blacks game made it a premium price

Location was good to get to the stadium for the rugby match. The place was clean and the beds were comfy. Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for a short stay.

The unit was very run down and dated, paint chipped off the walls and doors, and shower could do with a bit of attention. The parking was impossible, way too tight so we had to park on the road. I wouldn't advertise that parking is included as it was impossible really.

Good little place to stay for families

Close to everything you need, staff were nice. Rooms were clean and spacious. TV in each room which was ideal. Key card entry and plenty of parking space. Beds were comfy.

Not the staffs fault at all but neighbours were very loud. There were only 2 spoons which made it a bit awkward at breakfast time.

Location good, room was clean, modern and comfortable. We did a load of washing - very convenient.

The first place in three and a half weeks travelling NZ, that I had to pay a bond ($100) and it has not been refunded 48 hours later. We left the room clean and tidy too.

The rooms and bathroom were clean and tidy. The room was quiet and great to have off street parking. The reception person was very nice.

The toaster was damaged, didn't work and blew the fuse for the fridge, but we didn't realise till the morning and things were not very cold. The plumbing had issues as the shower tray would fill with a high level of water.

Gehetto

It feels like council housing. When you walk from your car to the room and you walk past people over the fence and get to see a man wearing an police ankle bracelet and a very large gentleman in his underwear. Once inside, the facilities are tidy, but the walls are rough! Unfinished patched up holes in the door and in need of painting make the room rougher. I wouldn't go back to the area it feels unsafe, and checking is is difficult, from a hotel to get your key, it takes a $100 bond. So you have to, and then you have to go back to the other hotel to hand in your key and get your bond back. It's complicated and unnecessary. The apartment smelled like stale cigarettes, and even the air freshener doesn't cover that. Our neighbors had a massive party. Someone tried to get into the apartment that night, and there were empty beer cans strewn over there, the walkway. The bathroom is very old, and it's an awful shower.

There was a party or something happening next door with a lot of shouting that carried on quite late. On my second night my key card didn’t work but I was able to call the reception and they unlocked it remotely.

Convenient location to pleasant walks and shops. Rooms were of good size and the balcony was a welcome addition.

This unit is old and badly needs renovation.. I would have liked some lounge type chairs in either the main bedroom or kitchen/lounge/second bedroomso that we could watch the ytelevision.

Affordable apartment with all the comforts

The apartment is spacious, an old styled apartment. Nothing too fancy, a nice all-rounder place to unwind and then hit the road again. You can bring your own food and drinks. Has an oven, fridge freezer, washing machine. Location is a bonus, a few minutes to drive from central. Hospital. Lake. Shopping mall and Eateries. Around the corner is pack'n'save. Housekeeping service is also great. If you have high expectations, then it's probably not for you.
