The property needs updating the cabin we had was a bit old and tired our travel companion had a better cabin, the food choices were limited and on one occasion the food was inedible

I was not at all happy about the involvement of Booking.com. I made the booking independently and the staff were efficient and helpful. Thereafter I had a deluge of unnecessary emails from Booking.com which were an irritation and a time-waster. I know that Booking.com can be helpful in many cases, but in this case I did not need any interference from them.

This was my second stay here and springbok continues to impress. Great food and lovely accommodation. But the best bit is the quality of the guides on safari. Thanks again guys.

Nothing. It was a fantastic place to stay

The game drives were amazing. We really appreciated how our game ranger (Nokwanda) shared her knowledge of both fauna and flora, and she had good tracking skills. She was attentive to the clients needs. I was able to get some great photos. I enjoyed the salmon roulade.

Was very disappointed with the accommodation, definitely not 5 star luxury compared to other 5 star safari lodges I have stayed at. A few suggestions to enhance the guest s experience: 1) the security safe was very small; suggest to install safes large enough for a laptop/ camera. 2) suggest to install a large walk in shower (outside shower lacked privacy, and it rained most of the time) in line with international trends in the rooms. 3) to train the food servers to be more friendly and attentive. When water or food was finished on the buffet, we had to ask the staff every day to replace it. Breakfast felt rushed (only 1 hour). Recommend to have breakfast from 8 to 10h00. 4) To improve on stock management. On my 1st breakfast I was told they could not make poached eggs because they were out of eggs ..not acceptable for a 5 star establishment! 5) The WiFi was very slow...needs to be improved. 6) Need to install a printer in reception..the receptionist had to keep going to the back office for printouts. 7) To build the ramp in the front entrance to the height of the game drive vehicles so it is easier to disembark especially in the rain...suggest to see the one at Cheetah ridge hotel. 8) the dinners lacked flavour, suggest to marinate the meat over night to enhance the flavour and texture. 9) First game lodge I have stayed at where we had to pay for water, cold drinks and alcoholic beverages served on the game drive...made it feel like a budget/ 3 star experience 😔
