Excellent choice for us--a great dock, fire pit with a beautiful view, and a comfortable cabin with good beds, comfortable living room, and everything you need. It's also pet friendly inside and out, which we greatly appreciate. And we so appreciate that dogs are allowed! One of the best features is a small screened porch--perfect place to sit and read or enjoy the view or have a cup of coffee. Lovely gathering spots outside include the fire pit area, the dock/water, and the screened porch--great to have options. Because of the time of year we visited (Oct.), the lake was very low and swimming was not practical. We were familiar with the planned drop in water levels so it wasn't a surprise. I would love it, though, if listings on this lake included those details so that we could plan more easily what to expect and when to book to enjoy regular lake levels. On the plus side, fall foliage was peak--and spectacular here. Also, we didn't need the sofa bed, but I don't know if it's practical for most people. The mattress is in a huge bag behind the door in one of the bedrooms--a foam mattress. Probably great for comfort but it would probably be difficult to put away for use of living room during the day. So maybe plan for use of the two excellent bedrooms and know that use of the sofa bed might feel difficult. Overall, a great stay--thanks much to the owners for making it available. We look forward to booking this place again if it remains available. We loved our week there.

We visited for the first time in early September after the hubbub of summer. After our second day, we signed up for another week next year.

Quiet location. Cabin fully equipped with essentials for cooking, wood for wood stove provided, linens, bedding, washer & dryer, screen porch, cleaning supplies, paper products. Most everything needed for a week at the lake was provided. However, cabin in need of maintenance and upgrading. One week was enough of a stay there. Comment about Mooselookmeguntic Lake: Very windy lake with white caps 5 out of 7 days of our stay. Not great for canoeing or kayaking. Even on days when staring off on calm water, the wind blows up fast and white caps form fast. It was a difficult & dangerous paddle back to shore on one of those occasions. Would prefer staying at a different lake if ever in the Rangeley region again. Cabin had some broken items which needed repair during our stay. Garage roof leaks on top washing machine. Screen porch door screen torn loose. Insects entering porch. Oven lock broken thus unable to use the oven until repaired mid week of our stay. Kitchen sponge and sponge washcloth for washing dishes had strong mildew odor. Odor transferred to our hands. Had to go into town to buy new a kitchen sponge. Sponge & washcloth should have been changed between renters. Would rate the cabin as "fair".
