The fully equipped kitchen provides everything needed for family meals, while the spacious living room centers around a large wood-burning fireplace that is perfect for gathering after a day outdoors. Books, games, a stereo, and a DVD player offer classic entertainment, while a washer and dryer add convenience for longer stays. The screened porch is an ideal spot to enjoy a morning cup of coffee, listen to the loons, and take in the lake breeze without a care in the world.
Outside, the property truly shines. A sandy beach area invites guests to swim and relax along the shoreline, while the private dock and on-site boat launching provide easy access to one of Maine's most spectacular lakes. Third time renting Loon Landing. Check-in was easy, cottage was clean and everything was working and in order on arrival. Perfect location for privacy and quiet, wonderful access to lake. Appreciated Wi-Fi availability. This cottage has all the conveniences and comforts we needed, while still delivering a rejuvenating Maine woods experience. Already looking forward to our next visit.

It's not for everyone. It's definitely rustic, but it suits us just fine. Love the size of the property and the ability to be on the cove or on the lake depending on our mood. And the firepit is the best.

The cabin is encased in trees, which makes it very dark. The screen porch was dirty, full of spiders, and unusable. It was also full of the homeowners stuff. The living room, dining room, and kitchen were not only crawling with daddy-long-leg spiders, but also had mice running under the furniture, along the kitchen counters, and inside the kitchen cabinets. There was no safe place to store food. The fridge door didn't stay closed. There was a wasp nest along the path to the beach. On the other hand, it had a wonderful bathroom with a large shower, a washer, dryer and dishwasher, and a lovely stone fire pit by the house with a view of the water. The bedrooms did not have the spider or mouse issue, which was a huge blessing, and the beds were very comfortable. We would have enjoyed it more without the spiders and the mice and if the screen porch was clean and usable.
