About this house rental
Aveyron house of character for 10 people, with all the comfort of a main residence (including internet box and TV) on wooded land of 2,700m2 located in the Templar village of Viala du Pas de Jaux. This village, the one of my ancestors, is part of the circuit of Templar villages and has the highest tower (27 m) to the top of which you can climb. Starting point for many walks, mountain bikes or bike rides on the Causse du Larzac and surrounding valleys.
3 bedrooms all equipped with hotel quality beds + 2 bathrooms + 2 toilets.
- Bedroom N°1 on the main level with bathroom + closed toilet: with 1 bed of 160 x 200 cm.
- Bedroom N°2 upstairs under a rounded vault: with 1 bed of 160 x 200 cm + 2 beds of 90 x 200 cm.
- Bedroom N°3 upstairs under a rounded vault: with 4 beds of 90 x 200 cm that can be grouped together to make beds of 180 x 200 cm.
All beds are in excellent condition and hotel quality.
Sheets provided and beds made on arrival, towels provided.
Large living room with fireplace insert and 2 sofas with free access to comics, books, board games, internet television, wifi...
Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, induction hob, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, filter coffee maker and Nespresso coffee maker... Dishes and cutlery in quantity! Everything is there to easily prepare your meals, your grills (BBQ) and... your aperitifs!
Large terrace shaded by a beautiful pergola with tables and chairs facing the rising sun and overlooking the vast land that will become the playground of your children.
Awning to shelter motorcycles.
Secure cellar to store your bikes, many games available (ping-pong table, volleyball + badminton net). Petanque court next to the house.
From the Viala du Pas de Jaux, you can easily reach by car:
- at swimming areas: St Rome de Tarn 20 minutes by car + Lapeyre sur Sorgues 20 minutes + La Dourbie in Nant 35 minutes away / the majestic Cirque de Navacelles 58 minutes away!
- to all the Templar villages with indestructible medieval fortresses: La Cavalerie at 15 min / Ste Eulalie de Cernon at 10 min / La Couvertoirade at 25 min...
- At the Gorges du Tarn where I advise you on the day to go down them from La Malène (1h30 by car from the house)...
Not to mention the visit of Roquefort sur Soulzon, where the cheese of the same name is made 15 minutes away. Go and see my cousin Vincent COMBES who makes Roquefort Le Vieux Berger and his cinema which tells you about its history, its production.

La maison est très confortable, bien équipée. On se sent dans une maison vivante. Le jardin est magnifique et idéal pour jouer au volley ou lire à l'ombre d'un arbre. La terrasse est aussi très agréable pour les déjeuners dehors près du barbecue. Le village du Viallat du Pas de Jaux est chargé d'histoire (Templiers, Hospitaliers) et pourra faire rêver les adeptes du Moyen-Age. Nous avons passé passé une semaine magnifique. La situation géographique parfaite pour sillonner les environs (Roquefort, Les gorges du Tarn, etc.). Merci à Arnaud, le propriétaire et Audrey pour leur accueil.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cette maison. L'environnement est très tranquille, avec de jolies balades au départ de la maison pour découvrir les paysages du Larzac. Le propriétaire laisse un book très complet avec les activités aux alentours. Le vélo-train à Sainte Eulalie (très joli village) a beaucoup plu aux enfants (9-13 ans) ; les baignades à Saint Rome du Tarn aussi. Il faut être organisé pour l'approvisionnement car peu de commerces à proximité (pour notre part nous avons rempli le frigo à Saint Affrique).
Il faut bien comprendre que pour l'instant la connexion internet se limite à une couverture 4G (le propriétaire a indiqué que la box allait être installée). Egalement une des chambres à l'étage n'a pas de fenêtre, l'autre une toute petite, donc c'est assez sombre. Par contre on y circule debout sans problème malgré ce que les photos pouvaient faire craindre. Nous avons pu utilisé une 3e chambre au RDC, qui n'était pas signalée sur l'annonce car pas encore finie ; cela a été appréciable (3 enfants). La literie est effectivement excellente et la cuisine bien équipée. La terrasse et le barbecue sont agréables et nous en avons bien profité, très peu de guêpes/moustiques, ce qui était bien appréciable cet été.
Salon intérieur agréable également.

Un séjour extrêmement agréable dans cette belle maison face au phare du Larzac! Maison très bien équipée, excellente literie, tout est étudié pour que les hôtes se sentent comme chez eux! Bien placé, sur la rote de plusieurs GR sans besoin de prendre la voiture, nous conseillons vraiment cette location, pour profiter de manière très agréable et confortable, d'une belle région. Merci à Mr Combes de sa disponibilité et de son accueil!
