The welcome and property orientation from the hosts was so friendly and informative. They have gone to great lengths to include interesting furnishings with special stories which they told us about. Attention to detail is throughout the apartment. They care about the apartment and they want the guests to do the same, an easy task. It’s grand and beautifully kept. Generous supplies of snacks and coffee. 3 easy, close and free choices for parking. Terrific views from large windows and cosy verandah. Best bar was Mosquito bar just metres away and best restaurant was Pizza e Core Pizza & Cocktail Bar.

Slightly tricky hot water but we got the hang of it.

The apartment was beautifully decorated in traditional sicilian style. The hosts were really polite and helpful. All the amenities needed for a comfortable stay are available. The view of the village is really amazing

We heard the neighbours upstairs at night and in the morning. Perhaps this is due to the older construction of the building. Also we'd issues with the hot water in the shower.

Savy and Pino are kind hosts who waited for us to arrive as we were held up by traffic on our way. They showed us around the house and helped us get settled. The kitchen was stocked up with snacks, juices, coffee and tea, so even though breakfast is not included in the room, there was enough food to go through lite breakfast while there, this was a nice attention. We were also able to use the washing machine (one of the reasons we booked that place). The home was huge but the space is not always well used and certainly could be used to better purposes. The overall place is a bit quirky and dated, and the electric installation is clearly not up to par: the hosts cleared said to the whole family that you could not switch one 3 A/C in the same time otherwise it might crack up the circuit break (they denied it in their comments below, but I double checked with the 3 other family members just to be sure). On the positive side, the area is super central and car accessible, some great restaurants around and the bi-weekly market just downstairs was a blast. obviously, the view from the house, all angles, was enjoyable. Also bear in mind there is no internet (it is mentioned in the description). The house is not for everyone so while we are glad we stayed there, we probably won't be back. we also feel the owners do not take criticism very well (this is a revised review after the owner dismissed some of our earlier comments about beds lack of comfort and elevator's misfortunes)

- the house somehow looks more, sometimes, like a museum than anything else - no internet (it is mentioned in the description though). - no microwave (just a tiny roasting, toasting machine) - although appliances in the kitchen work well, the overall electric installation is antic. Some of the plugs are outright dangerous (one of them is located in the bathroom, right near a light switch, above the sink...) - the surroundings are quite noisy and windows are not double-glazed - Beds in the guest room are barely decent but the ones in the bedroom are clearly bad. it is surprising this did not show in other reviews. The old metal frame (see pictures) combined with old, too soft, mattresses in the matrimoniale are the worst experience of my trip. The owner dismissed my earlier comments saying "No guest has ever complained about the beds having new orthopedic mattresses (the bed in someone else's house will never be like the personal one) and they liked the apartment so much that they gave very high marks". This is nonsense. Of all the places (all of them cheaper than this one) we went to in Sicily, this is the worst beds we tried. Sorry. - too much attention is given to some details (like decorated towels) while the overall usability of the apartment could be much improved, if the owners decided to modernize the place a bit. - we were stuck in the elevator on our second day. The elevator has 2 inward facing doors and an outside door. If you are not careful (this is what happened with our son, unfortunately), you can open the inner doors easily by accident and the elevator immediately stops.
