Alum House

This property was excellent! It’s our third stay here and we are never disappointed. It is a beautiful little place to stay and has everything and more, there’s nothing I could ask more of. It is local to the town, a short walk down the road and ample parking as we had two cars! The bed is comfy and the bed settee is perfectly spacious and comfortable too. This property has also had a little decoration since the previous stay too which was noticed, with the living room being painted and the hedges and outside area having a good trim.

There’s nothing at all I disliked about this property.

Great location and a quirky cottage lovely stay

One night stay review. I was aware of the location being near two main roads however on one side if was very noisy at night, which isn't a problem if not using the sofa bed however we were. Quaint place to stay, be aware of the metal spiral staircase, not for somebody with poor mobility or eyesight. If you turn right out of the side road it is a 20 min walk into Tewkesbury, which was the ideal location for us. No need to go across country. Hot shower.

The facilties were clean however other parts were not, skirting, bin in the bathroom, light fitting upstairs covered in cobwebs and unfinished decorating in the lounge area. Could be spruced up and would be beneficial. The double bedroom has a concrete ceiling being as it was a previous industrial building so it was quite chilly but there is a heater. Also no hot water in the sinks. Please note no oven if staying for a number of nights.
