Perfect base for hillwalking in this area, in all seasons. We will be back!

Lovely lodge - described as compact but actually quite spacious. Excellent heating, hot water, and woodburner, so very cosy. Very nice kitchen (only missing a dishwasher, but otherwise well-equipped). Good washing machine and separate dryer, drying rack, warm room for drying gear, plus a warm airing cupboard too - perfect hillwalking base. The hotel has a really excellent restaurant with good food and good service - highly recommended.

Generally very quiet, but be aware it's on the track from the hotel to the village, so you will get guests strolling past from time to time and taking the odd photo (because the lodge is very pretty).

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff of the hotel that rents out North Lodge were always helpful.

Lovely character property.

Lovely secluded old character property. Wood burner, including lighters, kindlers and plenty of logs. Comfortable beds. Complete with good washing machine and tumble drier. Central heating. Well equiped. Despite what others have said we found the sofa and chairs comfortable. Plenty of walks in the grounds including ruined castle and Loch side. Large TV's in lounge and both bedrooms. Hotel was closed till April but nearby pub was open year round 10 - 15 minute walk away. Would we return definately YES.

No downstairs toilet but great bathroom upstairs.

Location was lovely, bath is nice and big. The property was very clean.

The furniture is small and uncomfortable. I know the house is small, however it would of made for a more pleasant stay if the sofa and chairs were not so uncomfortable.

Wonderful, woodland hideaway with cosy log burner.

Location was excellent for getting to Inverness or going west to explore Skye, Applecross etc. The situation of the gatehouse was private and secluded with a lovely view of the a River Garry. The kitchen is very well equipped and the beds wonderfully comfy. The log burner was very welcome on chilly evenings.

Everything was great but if I was to be really picky - the sitting room furniture is very uncomfortable. More like waiting room furniture. A comfy sofa would be lovely.
