Amazing place, just beautiful! Room very cozy with a sweet provençal decorations, spacious with updated bathroom, above expectations. BReakfast not buffet, everything personal and very well taken care of.
Overall, the best hotel we stayed, loved it!!!!
Just the location is difficult to find, specially at night, maybe more signs on the road. but its also good that it was "hidden" in the woods, making it very quite and beautiful.

This place is absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful room, library, lounge, gardens, reception area, and dining room. The beds were comfortable and we all slept very well. The breakfast was included and SO good. You could order anything you wanted off the menu and we enjoyed it all!
There is no hot water in the castle. This was kind of disappointing. So If you like a hot shower or bath after a cold and rainy day in Scotland, I would have to tell you not to stay here.

Loved the History and the comfortable room with gorgeous views. Very much enjoyed the library and lounge areas for sitting and relaxing enjoying tea etc…. The bathrooms were great! So well appointed. We also loved the dinner and breakfast and of course the sheet and lambs!
We actually loved the walking paths and nature around the property-a huge plus! However, the grounds seem to be in need of care. There are many large old trees which are lovely and in need of tending. It would also be good to see replacement seedlings planted to ensure the historic feel of property continues as old trees inevitably die. Shrubs are in need of pruning and tending. General weeding is needed to make the experience of the outside match the marvelous experience inside.

Breakfast and the room were very good. The staff was really helpful and kind.
However the dinner was very fusion. We prefer more simple and local menu:)

19th Century Castle in a nice park directly at the Loch coastline. Stylish lounge and dining room. Very good dinner menu and good value for money for the dinner menu.
Compared to the level of accommodation and food the service was “okayish”. Personell was eager, but not able to serve the wine with the dish or even to open the wine bottle. Sitting in the lounge we had to go to the reception to order drinks.

The old style comfort. Excellent grounds
The menu was brilliant but an overabundance of French style sauces

Our stay at this incredible, family-owned and operated real castle was an absolute highlight of our Scottish adventure! This truly is a hidden gem with an unbeatable location right on the lake, offering simply amazing, breathtaking views from every angle.
Our room was charmingly decorated and incredibly comfortable, making us feel right at home within the historic walls. It was clear that every detail was thoughtfully chosen. The fact that it's family-owned and operated adds such a personal and welcoming touch – you can truly feel the care and passion they put into their beautiful property.
We absolutely loved every minute and are already hoping we can come back one day to stay longer and fully immerse ourselves in the magic of this place.
We strategically chose to stay here while driving from Inveraray to Skye, and it was the perfect stopover. It's also conveniently located, with Eilean Donan Castle just about a 50-minute drive away, making it an excellent base for exploring the area.
If you're looking for an authentic, charming, and truly unforgettable experience in the Highlands, look no further. This castle stay is nothing short of magical!

We loved our stay. The hotel and the room were superb
The restaurant staff were quite junior and while very polite could benefit from some more training. Also someone who can recommend wines should be at hand at dinnertime
