Der Urlaub war insgesamt sehr gut. Die Ferienwohnung war zu viert mit Hund sehr groß und hatte alles was man brauchte. Auch der Felswanderweg war direkt zu Fuß von der Wohnung auf erreichbar und ist sehr empfehlenswert. Ebenfalls die vielen Burgen und anderen Wanderwege in der Umgebung. Einzig die beiden Matratzen vom Doppelbett waren etwas dünn und das Zimmer prinzipiell sehr kalt. Ansonsten aber alles sehr empfehlenswert und auch die Gastgeber sind sehr nett. Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt.

Die Ferienwohnung liegt in Rodalben etwas am Hang mit kurzen Wegen zur Hauptstraße. Direkt vor dem separaten Eingang ist ein eigener Parkplatz mit Zugang zur Terrasse. Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig und schön eingerichtet. Es gibt eine große Terrasse mit kleiner Rasenfläche, einem wohlduftenden Kräutergarten und einer Sitzgruppe. Eine große Markise sorgt für Sonnenschutz und das Außengelände ist umzäunt, so dass Kinder und Hunde nicht alleine auf Entdeckungen gehen können. Die Wohnung ist praktisch ausgestattet. Das Bad mit Dusch-Badewanne und WC wird durch ein zweites WC gut ergänzt. Im Wohnzimmer gibt es eine gemütliche Sofa-Sitzecke und einen Esstisch mit vier Plätzen. Trotz Souterrain ist die Wohnung schön hell und mit Tageslicht durchleuchtet. Von Rodalben aus sind sehr viele und interessante Ziele gut erreichbar. Wir können die Wohnung und die freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Vermieter empfehlen und kommen bestimmt wieder.

Die Lage der Wohnung ist ideal für einen Wanderurlaub. Nach wenigen Schritten ist man im Wald und hat Einstieg zu verschiedenen Wanderwegen. Andererseits hat man aber auch Geschäfte, Restaurants und Eisdielen fußläufig erreichbar. Wir haben viele Stunden auf der Terrasse verbracht und auch der Hund hat sich in dem eingezäunten Garten wohl gefühlt. Sehr freundliche, hilfsbereite und sympathische Vermieter.

Gutes Basislager
Gutes Basislager
Wir sind für anderthalb Wochen zum Wandern in die Südwestpfalz gereist. Dafür war der Waldkauz ein gutes Basislager: Der Rodalber Felsenwanderweg verläuft gleich oberhalb, viele andere schöne Wanderwege sind mit dem Auto schnell erreicht. Abends kann man sich dann in der großen Badewanne oder vor dem Kaminofen aufwärmen. Wir haben uns in der Ferienwohnung sehr wohl gefühlt.
