Dedanau Hotel

The staff were fantastic and so helpful. We arrived early as my friend was poorly and needed to sleep and they kindly arranged his room to be ready early. The room itself is lovely and bed/shower/hot water all good. The view of the lake (from the second or third floor is fantastic).

There are some things to consider for improvement: - The balcony lights are on 24/7 and throughout the night, personally I didn't like this when sitting on the balcony at night - The TV in the room is limited to what channels you can watch - There is no fridge in the room - Breakfast was cold, both the coffee and food was cold - The WIFI is not good and kept dropping-out which made working on my laptop really difficult - The mosque nearby is very noisy and starts at 5am

This hotel is a true discovery for travelers who appreciate beauty and coziness! We were absolutely delighted by how thoughtfully everything is designed here. This is not just a place to sleep — it's a whole adventure. Every nook and cranny, every path hides some charming secret: an unexpected exit into a cozy garden, a hidden viewing platform, or a stylish barbecue area. Exploring the grounds was a real pleasure — it felt like going through an exciting quest. The design and furniture selection are a work of art in themselves. Everything is done with exquisite taste, very harmonious and cozy. The combination of enclosed rooms and open-air areas, where you can enjoy the tropical breeze, adds a special charm. It's clear that the owners poured their hearts into this hotel and thought ahead to ensure every guest has a memorable and emotional experience. **The location is absolutely perfect!** The hotel is situated right **across from the area's main landmark — the Ulun Danu Beratan Temple (Pura Ulun Danu Beratan)**. The view of the lake and the temple from the room is a true masterpiece that you'll remember forever. Another pleasant surprise was finding a wonderful place with Russian cuisine just a few minutes' walk from the hotel — **Rusa by the Lake restaurant**. They serve authentic borscht, pelmeni (dumplings), blinis (pancakes), and pirozhki (stuffed pastries). This was especially welcome and enjoyable for us — a chance to treat ourselves to our favorite comfort foods after long days of exploring. And, of course, a huge bonus of this hotel is the covered veranda with a billiard table on the viewing platform. We spent several wonderful evenings there in good company. At some point, we actually felt a little sad that we had only booked this beautiful hotel for a few days.

Room very dirty room on arrival (like ants in the bathroom, stains in duvet, dirty floor) - breakfast meal and time to be chosen at check in. We had to ask for an extra clean and still the walls were having marks of food… we stopped only one night and the staff made their best to accommodate our requests but would not recommend sleeping here at all.
