Filippos Apartments "Apartment 1"

Our hosts Fillipos and Brigitte were very kind, we had a very late, delayed flight into Kefalonia and on top of that, we even got a bit lost on the way to Spartia, but Fillipos waited up for us and still gave us a very warm welcome which we were very grateful for. The apartment is bigger than the pictures suggest and you will have everything you need there. The decor does seem quite dated but that's all part of the charm of staying in a real Greek village instead of a hotel or resort. We slept so well, the building is amazing in terms of the sound proofing, you can barely hear the people in the other units or the street outside, that's so perfect. The garden terrace was lovely and we enjoyed sitting out in the garden.

I'm literally splitting hairs here as everything was so good, we had a great experience. But the internet was a bit slow (but that's just the island) and the signal was very weak in the bedroom but strong in the living room/terrace/garden. There was loads of insects in the garden so whilst it was pleasant to sit out there in the evening, just be warned that you may get bitten by the insects (again, that's Greece in the summer for you - loads of insects). We were only given 2 coffee pods and Fillipos kindly offered us 2 more, but I felt they could have given us a little more but apart from that, we have nothing to complain about. You will need a rental car as the village is quite isolated.

The apartment is very spacious, with two balconies, on which the smell of various herbs is gorgeous. The kitchen is fully equipped, and everything you can think of is there. The hostess, Briggite, is very kind and ready to help you with anything. As for the location, you can quickly reach Argostoli, and all the sandy beaches are at most half an hour away.

I suggest this apartment for a holiday trip for everyone. Families or couples can have a very nice stay here. The area was very silent, you can totally relax and the beaches nearby are very beautiful. The staff were fantastic, helpfull with everything. A great thanks to the staff who has helped us those days for everything: suggestions, services, places to visit. We hope to visit you again as soon as possible!
