The cottage was in a lovely village and the short drive into town wasn't an issue. The rooms were of a good size and were well equipped with all we needed, the oils and condiments for cooking were a nice touch. The board games and jigsaw were handy, we did the jigsaw and found it to be complete thankfully.
The book with information about the local area was handy and we did use some of this during our stay.
The downsides of this property are that the bathroom is downstairs so a long walk in the night if you need the loo.
Was also a little on the cool side, and its not like we went in winter. The kitchen is a one person kitchen really due to its size but is well stocked with crockery and utensils.
The rear yard was smaller than what the pictures had made it look, it could have done with a good sweep out and jet wash.
The real downside for me was the cleanliness of the cottage. We had to wash some plates, glasses, and cutlery before using them as they were dirty. The coffee table in the lounge had left over cereal under it and a toy car from a previous guest. One of the throws on the settee also had dog hair on it.
A real shame as this cottage has everything going for it, just would benefit from a deep clean and the routine cleaning being of a higher standard.
