Charming Downtown Suite

Host was wonderful! Location was great and close to pier and everything in Seward. Check in and out was super easy. Perfect for one or two people. My 70 year old friend slept on the couch and was comfortable. Keurig coffee and water was provided. Bed was super comfy and blackout curtains were so awesome. Full stock of board games and small book library was sweet! When hotel room are 400 plus a night, this was a welcome surprise. Loved my stay!

Location was perfect. The house was clean. Snacks and anything else you could possibly need was provided. First aid kit, toiletries, extra blankets, towels, Netflix subscription, and everything else you could think of. Very private and cozy.

Place was extremely clean and check in was the easiest check-in ever. The host was lightning fast to respond. This place makes any destination in Seward an easy walk. Park the car in the huge parking spot and explore Seward. Everything you need for a relaxing short stay is there and it’s reasonably priced. Thank you!

Honestly, I wanted to love this place but it is overpriced. For the record: I can get past the fact it hasn't been updated in years. The space itself is large enough for two people to be enjoying on a rainy day without getting cabin fever. The decor in the bathroom is cute! The location really sells this place...walk either direction: to downtown business district for all your meals or up to the marina for fishing and scenic cruises. Security and the mold/mildew in the shower are the biggest concerns. The bedroom window does not latch (owner plans to repair it after the season) and there is no security chain to lock from the inside to make sure no one accidentally comes in while you are there. Also, the arctic entryway does not lock and has no blinds - this would be an awesome space for extra gear storage. While you have the entire space to yourself, you are really in some rooms cordoned off from a larger house. There is unfortunately no outdoor space to enjoy. This is out of the owner's control, but the place next door is an eyesore. Front yard has junk and things everywhere. Back to thus place...the freezer does not work. We put leftover gelato in and next day it was soup, so don't plan on frozen meals. We appreciated the snacks and coffee and tea, that was a nice touch! But calling it a kitchenette is a stretch. Moral of the story: if you just need a place to sleep and store your stuff and this is the cheapest option, go for it.
