Het was een hele mooie appartement met alle comfort en een heerlijk terass met mooi uitzicht. Wij werden heel leuk verwend met lekkernijen uit de omgeving. Fantastisch plek, wij komen terug!

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful house. We had a very warm welcome with cookies and flowers on the table, fresh vegetables from the garden in the fridge next to a bottle of wine and home made jam, and locally sourced honey and olive oil. The house is renovate with great attention to detail and it's modern, clean, comfortable and nice and cool in the hot August month. We settled in for a week of quiet time after 2 active weeks in the mountains and the house is perfect for just that: reading and relaxing in the sun or shade, having a late lunch on the terrace, dining with a view of the sun setting and going on the occasional outing to the sea or an interesting site. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood and it's an easy drive to Piran, Portotroz or Izola on the coast, but also to Ljubljana and several intersting caves. We wanted to visit the Skocjan Caves but we were too late booking the tickets (tip: book a week in advance in the summer time) so we went to Postojna which we also enjoyed a lot. All in all Jan's house is a little haven of peace with (almost) all of the comforts you want in a holiday home.

There is no real shower: you have to sit in the bath tub and pull the showerhead towards you, hold it with one hand and wash with the other. I tried holding the shower head between my knees, but the hose is on a ridged automatic pull-back-system, so it kept pulling the shower head back into it's slot in the bath. It was a constant fight to keep the shower head spraying you with warm water, washing, trying to say warm while sitting in a funny angle in the bath. I found this very uncomfortable.

Het huis straalt veel warmte uit, het is smaakvol ingericht, leuke gezellige details, bloemen op tafel, badkamer gezellig met kaarsjes aan gekleed. Geen IKEA borden of bestek, vele pannen voor het koken. Zeer gastvrij waar je gelijk je thuis voelt. Goede bedden, slaapkamer verduisterd met rolluik, Alles is ruim op gezet, zeker niet te vergeten de ruimte buiten waar je kunt relaxen op fijne ligbedjes, Hier heb je echt vakantie

Er ontbrak hier niks aan.

Mooi huis met ruim terras met veel bloemen. Mooie omgeving.
