Agence Cocoonr offers you this beautiful atypical duplex apartment, located on the 3ᵉ floor of a XIXᵉ century stone building, right in the heart of Bordeaux, at the foot of the Marché des Capucins in the sought-after St Michel district. Just a stone's throw from Place de la Victoire, Rue Sainte-Catherine, shops and restaurants, this apartment offers you every comfort for an exceptional stay in Bordeaux. Fully renovated and equipped, it can comfortably accommodate 2 travelers. Bed linen and towels of 4* hotel quality are provided, as well as bath mats and tea towels.
The apartment is composed as follows
- A living room with sofa and flat-screen TV
- A fully-equipped open-plan kitchen: fridge, hob, microwave and oven, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and plenty of cooking utensils.
- Upstairs bedroom with double bed (140x190)
- Open-plan bathroom with Italian-style shower and separate toilet
The St-Michel district is organized around Place Canteloup and Place des Capucins, both devoted to commercial activities. Saint-Michel is home to flea markets, especially on Sunday mornings, and Capucins, long a wholesale food market, is now a neighborhood market. Cosmopolitan, the area is home to architects, start-ups and artists attracted by its vibrant cultural life.
If you like the lively atmosphere of a market, don't miss the Marché des Capucins, Bordeaux's largest covered market, where you can shop or enjoy a platter of oysters from the Bay of Arcachon, a plate of Spanish tapas, charcuterie or cheese, accompanied by a Bordeaux or Entre-deux-mers wine. And all around the market, restaurants in large numbers will welcome you to discover local flavors or take you on a trip around the world.
Public transport :
- Tramway B (“Victoire” stop) is a 4-minute walk away, taking you to Place du Grand Théâtre (hyper-center) in 5 minutes, and direct to the Cité du Vin in 15 minutes.
- Train: Bordeaux train station is a 10-minute walk away.
- Car: Pay parking at the Capucins is 20 meters away. Street parking is also available, but spaces are scarce and the streets are subject to charges (except at night between 7pm and 9am, Sundays and public holidays).
- Self-service bicycles: Vcub station 100m away (€1.60 for 24 hours).

Au marché des Capucins "The flat was great value for money, it's in a fantastic part of the city, so close to the Marché des Capucins which is such an interesting place to visit (more than once). There are loads of food restaurants nearby and everything feels like a short walk away.
If I were to point out anything that could be improved I would say that the spiral staircase isn't extremely stable so you have to be a bit careful going up and down those steps. Also, the bed isn't overly comfortable, after a week we were looking forward to getting back to our own bed. But on the whole it was really good value for money and I would still stay there again."

Au marché des Capucins "Very helpful host. Lovely peaceful apartment. Loved that the bedroom area has windows and light from four directions and there is a nice view. Beautiful stairwell that looks very old.
The area is a relatively easy walk into the main part of town. There is also a great little square of restaurants and cafes at the cathedral nearby (and great boulangerie).
We would definitely recommend this apartment."
