The owner and his wife are both committed and friendly inn keepers with great conversation both about their experiences and the town of Ballater,/ Balmoral itself.
Breakfast made individually and tastefully.
Decor likewise very tasteful and in excellent /brand new condition.
Ballater in the winter snow is magical place - picturesque views from our bedroom and breakfast table.
There is nothing that could have been better, except to have spent more time in this B&B.

Stunning property with fantastic friendly owners.
Completely personal, great breakfast and an overall lovely vibe.
Toilet is a touch noisy so you worry about other guests hearing the flush.

The apartment accommodation at St Andrews House was perfect in every way. The hosts were amazing, ensuring that my stay was as full as I wanted it to be. I enjoyed several local walks and was glad to take part in the dining area for delicious - custom made - breakfasts. The options were vast and plentiful. I hadn’t expected to have an apartment inside the big house - what a treat! Everything was provided for in the apartment, the decorations and quality of all elements throughout the home were superb. A very fresh and modern home within a very classic turreted house.
My only regret is that I didn’t book enough nights!
