we loved every second on the property here. I highly suggest you visit their direct website and read about the history of the house and land! the area is confusing to get to if you aren't a local. do NOT depend on the local bus system to get you anywhere - we waited for hours to be passed by bus after bus that was too full. the system is not dependable. based on what you find online and it's extremely confusing. I'd recommend just renting a scooter for your time here, and forking out the cash to be dropped off at the hotel via taxi. there is a scooter company that will deliver the scooter to you and you can get around much faster that way. (we got that info from the hosts)
the hosts are amazing and extremely helpful, accommodating, and kind. the property is family owned and operated.
the property itself has just about everything you need to be happy for days. their in-house breakfast is delicious and has a ton of options, and dinner was incredible. they grow their own grapes and make wine, and grow their own vegetables. the property has chickens, ducks and even a peacock!
We also really enjoyed the solorium, as well. there are a few hammocks and tanning chairs as well as a good sized pool that overlooks the hillside and has a view of the ocean.
as previously mentioned, navigating the area via public transit was super difficult for us. maybe we were just missing something, but it never went smoothly and cost us a LOT of time and money in the end. when we researched where to stay we figured it'd be obvious and easy enough to figure out and we were super wrong. that being said, that is not the fault of the property or its hosts at all - they were as helpful as possible and remained flexible with our late check - in, etc. not a reason to book elsewhere, just something to consider. also, important thing we learned, the property is in "upper Furore" or "Furore alto". since the entire coast is built into cliffs, the roads are all switchbacks so you gain a lot of elevation very slowly.... if maps say its shorter to walk, note that it'll be very steep and mountainous.
one final note: the AC in our room rattled super loud no matter what we did.
