Private Villa with pool Faro Park

The property was spotless and ideally located.

Great location. Very clean. Private and quiet. Towels and linen changed regularly. Had provision for heating, which was very much appreciated. Recently decorated, and appliances look quite new. Boules pitch was good fun. Agents responded swiftly to any issues and questions.

Lack of information booklet, with instructions for accessing wi-fi, how to operate appliances, where to deposit rubbish, etc. Agents responded quickly to any questions, but a booklet would have been easier.

Quiet location and well furnished with utensils and cleaning products. Easy walk to local restaurants and supermarkets.

Little surprised not to get clean sheets in the middle of a 11 night stay

Location was perfect. Weather was perfect. Local amenties perfect. Local bars & restaurants/cafes on Calle Irlanda were excellent. Brilliant value for money & delicious food. Pool was cleaned twice which was good as the pool got very dirty with no cover. Great amount of towels.

Pool was not child friendly. No shallow areas in the pool. No pool safety ring life belt present at pool side. Depth markings on pool area were worn away so could not be read. No pool safety rail for easy access for getting in & out. No mention of pool depth. No mention of pool being one depth all around. Was 5ft 3ft all round. Pool cover could not be used as it was ripped and needed replacing/repairing. Sun loungers need better cushion bed parts. Shower was great but was blocked on first use so water didnt drain away down plug hole. Agent came to unblock it right away which was good. Parts of the walls had flaking plaster falling off where last users had left it on and flooded. This was not cleaned up once in 10 days whilst we there. On arrival we noticed the fridge door hinge had broken which meant fridge door didnt close properly and ice was appearing at the back. This was mentioned to the Agent but nothing was done. Kettle kept tripping electrics which was replaced for us when reported. Door handle on patio door was faulty. On the last night we wanted to cook pizza in the oven but this also tripped the electrics. Springs in the single matresses could be felt. Villa needs a lot of TLC, painting of walls and wooden areas outside ie windows & door frames needed. Full amount of 1485 Euros was transfered from HSBC England to their Santander bank at Arrecife. They informed us they had only received 1408.50 Euro and when we arrived we were charged 76 Euros. We were completey unaware of this added charge as HSBC England told us that this was a Santander bank charge. Which we dont think we should have had to pay as our bank told us that was a charge at their end not ours. This was a massive disappointment.
