About this house rental
Nestled in a wooded environment on the edge of a babbling brook, this 1-bedroom/1.5 -bath, loft with extra bed, is a gorgeous home that features all the necessities. On 10 acres, Babbling Brook has a fireplace, deck (watch the kids play in the stream below), and verdant views of the forest. During winter you can hike or snowshoe the Pinnacle trails (next to the house) and at the top of the mountain you will be rewarded with a spectacular view. Other activities include ice skating on Brattleboro Retreat, ice fishing, explore nearby lakes and streams, go cross country skiing at resorts that are approximately 45 minutes away - Stratton, Okemo, or Mt. Snow. Or just do a daily cold plunge right outside the door. The list is endless! There are breweries and restaurants, or if you want to cook at home, visit Dutton's farm stand and buy some cider, cheese, and fresh produce. You can work remotely, the wifi is fast, there is a sitting desk and one standing (or sitting) desk in the house. Approximately 4 hours from NYC or 2.5 from Boston. If you're looking to immerse yourself into nature, then this is it!

We had hoped for a winter wonderland in Vermont with skiing and other snow filled activities. Mother Nature had other ideas. The house was very comfortable with lots of room for our family of five. The woods are beautiful with great hikes right outside the back door. Lorena was attentive and met us at the house to show us around. We explored the area and ended up in front of the fireplace every night playing cards and enjoying a slower pace of life. Highly recommend this property if you want to get away from it all!
