A CASA DA VILA

We really enjoyed our stay. The building itself is beautiful, as is the courtyard, and everything was exceptionally clean - both the rooms and the shared spaces were spotless. We particularly liked the fact that water and coffee were available throughout the day, along with fruit and cake. The breakfast served at the nearby traditional Portuguese café was also a lovely touch: it’s clearly a place where the whole village goes for breakfast, so it gave us a nice taste of the local atmosphere. Ana was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience even more pleasant.

Our room was on a busy road, so it was difficult to keep the window open at night and create a cross-breeze with the side window, which we had open. We eventually solved this by using the A/C, which is of course a good solution for most people, but we tend to avoid air conditioning as it gives us headaches. We were also a little surprised by the very basic synthetic sheet used as a cover. We’ve encountered this type of bedding before, and unfortunately, it’s quite unpleasant against the skin.

Almodovar is a small town, you can walk everywhere. The AL is located centrally. Interesting is that they give you a voucher for breakfast at a nearby cafe, this is fun and great value! The whole town comes in in the morning for coffee, breakfast, gossip or whatever! Very enjoyable. The room and bathroom were spotless, bed very comfortable. It is an old house that has been upgraded/renovated, it's really very lovely.

Ana Was fantastic, very friendly welcoming and such a good host great knowledge of the area.. Room had plenty of space kitchen was well equipped breakfast in the cafe was unbelievable and we was truly spoiled again such welcoming and friendly staff wouldn't even hesitate to visit again or Almodovar great community.

The property is a renovated house where the authentic features have been kept and respected while modern comfort has been added. The result is wonderful, almost romantic.

Breakfast is being provided at a nearby bakery/cafe. That is not ideal. It would add great value if there was breakfast available at the property itself, especially since there is such a lovely kitchen.
