Good location, poor accommodation for price

Location and view very good

Very poorly decorated, dirty bathtowel left from previous occupants. Very small bathroom, rusty mirror, poor paint work. No teaspoons (had to buy own ). No cleaning equipment to sweep floor. Kitchen sink poorly positioned. Excessive bare pipes, required boxing in. Poor seating area on single bed ,dining table in bedroom.

Good location in Looe and handy for exploring further.

Good location, clean rooms, compact apartment - had everything including a terrace with nice views overlooking Looe station. Narrow, windy and steep access road which was fun to navigate, some people might find it a struggle, but it's Cornwall so that is not uncommon I would say. There are stairs too as a pedestrian alternative.

Strong smell of paint which was a little tiring but the place was kept nice so I guess that is forgivable and it shouldn't last long.

The location of the apartment was very good and the view from inside and outside the apartment was amazing. The hosts were very kind and helpful. Looe was a great holiday location, with beaches, crabbing, good food and lots of art to look at.

Leaving on a Friday early afternoon the traffic was very bad on the M5; not due to the apartment though. The bathroom wall would benefit from a fresh lick of paint.

Apartment very good access minus ten

Shutter road is extremely narrow the instructions told us it was the forth house on the left. In fact it was the second. We miss the house looking for the fourth hosuse and were forced to continue down the road The road gets narrower and narrower resulting in scratches to the car body work. Unless you go by motor bike park your car and survey the road so you can go straight there if you miss it your car will be damaged

Lovely views and location, but not the best value for money IMO.

The views are absolutely stunning, and the host was very kind and helpful when I locked my keys in the accommodation, even though it was after 10pm. It is a short walk to town, and very close to the station. The beds were comfy, bedding clean, towels provided and we were warm enough. Despite the weather we had a pleasant enough stay, convenient to be near the station so we could do day trips. Wifi was great.

The property didn't feel homely - Many of the features were quite harsh for example - really bright light and very loud fan in the bathroom, mould specs on the wall (bathroom is very small). We could hear the neighbours walking around above. Also it was a bit small for 3 of us (me and two teens), which wasn't clear when I booked - The living room doubled up as the second bedroom, which I felt wasn't clear in the description either - the sofa was a day bed for the 3rd one of us. The telly didn't come with a tv guide, and didn't have netlix/prime so difficult to find something to watch on a rainy evening. The kitchen sink was in an awkward corner, hard to reach and the cutlery was disorganised in a rack in the cupboard - I couldn't find teaspoons. Nothing terrible, but I'd expected a bit more as I paid more than half my regular months rent for a 3 night stay. The road up to the property is extremely narrow - not suitable for vans or bigger vehicles, and walking up from town is pretty steep (although not a problem for us - we enjoyed the walk). The USB charging ports were very slow - presumably old. The garden mentioned in the description was a slightly neglected looking decking area, but perhaps it was that the weather was poor that it made it feel this way. All in all, although pleasant enough, Bosons Bunks just felt like it was lacking some love and care.

3 of us stayed here just the right size accommodation for us,all of us slept really good and the owners are very friendly, not far from beach/shops/ kids park and crabbing places which was great for our 9 year old,beach is great! also there was free kids activities on beach like tug of war etc had a great stay here would definitely recommend also bonus having parking.

Fantastic stay in a great location with great hosts.

The hosts met us with the keys upon arrival and were on hand for anything we needed. We were given an early check and late check out. The location was fantastic and the ability to charge the car on site was a god send.

Boson Bunks basic.

Location 10-15 walk into Looe.

Room was very basic and small. There was no settee just a single bed so uncomfortable for sitting. Kitchen tiny. Bathroom very small and could do with decorating. Bed was uncomfortable roll together. No wardrobe or hangers for hanging clothes. Very narrow and steep car access.

The location, plus you had your own little terrace where you were able to sit outside and admire the view with a lovely glass of wine. The owners were friendly and helpful.

A totally relaxing, comfortable break away

Excellent apartment. Clean, comfortable and well thought out containing everything needed for a very pleasant break. It had its own designated parking for each apartment which is a real bonus in Looe and is situated a 10 minute leisurely stroll from the town centre. Stunning views over the river and countryside from the apartment. Comfortable garden decking/patio with garden furniture that guests are encouraged to enjoy. The apartments and garden are dog friendly. Peter and Sarah Jane are excellent hosts with Sarah Jane also offering massage therapy which I happily took advantage of in her salon. A totally relaxing break away.

The small, narrow road leading to the property is extremely steep for approximately 200 yards , as are most of accommodation access in Devon and Cornwall. However, a short cut was available via stone steps for pedestrians. My husband is disabled and walks with a stick but found the 2 short flights of steps accessible but for this reason I wouldn’t recommend this particular property for a wheelchair user.

Too short, I could have stayed there for weeks! I’d definitely consider staying again!

Perfect, self contained and felt like home immediately. Wonderful view of the river across to the millpool. And ideal for the train station if you want to travel by train (or visit liskeard!)

Just a bit longer walk from the town than it seemed in the past, but generally it was ideal. A toiletry shelf or basket in the shower would be useful (great shower btw!)

A brilliant find !

What a wonderful stay. Sarah and her husband were lovely and I had such a warm welcome. Everything I needed was there and the bed was so so comfy. The house is minutes walk to the great choice of pubs, restaurants and walks. I also booked to have a massage and it was bliss ! Thankyou so much Sarah.

Excellent location, only a short walk into town. Very helpful and friendly hosts. The accommodation is only small, however, it was perfect for a two-night stay. Very clean. Nice view and a cute sitting-out area.

Probably leave a couple more towels, please. One each is not enough.

Exceptional

Fantastic location with parking easy walk to main town / beach & harbour . Nice patio area over looking the estuary and boats. Buses & rail Station are a stones throw away .. Ideal for base it has a well equipped kitchen if you want to cook ! A good power shower and comfortable bed. We took the opportunity to indulge in a couple of Spa treatments offered on site and id give the lovely hostess Sarah 10/10. They do allow pets which is a big bonus for anyone x

The hosts were exceptionally helpful - and I particularly recommend Sarah’s therapies offered onsite. A cosy, compact apartment, well-equipped and with a beautiful view. The terrace is perfectly positioned. The perfect, restorative break!

If anyone wants to be really fussy, they might want to mention the exposed pipes.

Few nights in Looe at Bosun's Bunks

Apt is in a beautiful location in Looe with great views and patio areas just outside the door. Having its own parking was great. 10 mins walk and you are in the centre of the old town. Looe is a beautiful place.

Perfect for our needs but if you were going self catering and planning on a lot of cooking the kitchen is compact.

Family run apartments in perfect holiday location.

We had the most amazing view from our apartment. Enhanced by a lovely large window. The apartment was quiet and comfortable and spacious for 2 of us and a baby. The kitchen was well equipped and lots of extra touches. We found a Cupboard of games and drawer of toys. Great to have parking and it's very close to the station and bus stops. Perfectly situated close to the shops and for exploring. Sarah Jane is lovely, friendly and happy to help. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to be upgraded. Thank you
