It was very clean and comfortable with very friendly staff. The breakfast was very good!

The location was good. Tropic is quite small. It is very convenient to Bryce Canyon.

We had an upstairs bedroom and the AC was ineffective. The room was quite warm when we arrived. We opened windows and used the provided fan and were able to get the room to a reasonable temperature overnight.

Rooms are old and small. Only have basic equipment. The curtain rod in our room has fallen down twice, and every morning the smell of cooking bacon is very strong and spreads all the way to the second floor. Also, when I arrived on the first day, it was already past 9 p.m. I saw a sign above the washing machine that said “24hr 7 days,” so I went ahead and used it. However, halfway through the cycle, the host came over, upset, and reminded us that it was quiet hours and asked us to stop. Later, I did see the quiet hours policy in the booklet in the room, but it contradicts the sign in front of the washing machine. I hope this can be improved. I feel that the attitude of the host or management staff was not very friendly — at least toward our group of Asians, it seemed that way.
