Porto Thea Alexandra Shared Pool Villa, Afytos

The house is located in one villas complex, near Afitos village, wich was 600 meters from us. We went every day to the beach and to the restaurants in Afitos, by foot, because was very close to us. The villa is very nice decorated, with modern furniture. Kitchen area is very big and equiped with everything you need, including a dish wash machine. We enjoyed the table with chairs in the front of house, with nice view over the lush garden of complex. Very relaxing overall and the pool area is a plus.

We didn't find any mirror in the whole house, except in the bathrooms. That was a very big problem for us, especially womans :). I did my hair and my make-up in the window of the balcony door. Also the house need more hangers or standers for clothes. The bathroom on the first floor has problems with drainage in the shower because all water falls on the side of the shower - this needs improvements. We buyed a water pushing tool, because the bathroom floods after every shower. The room at the ground floor has mold on the wall, because of the water pipe wich pass through this wall. This problem is old, because is specificated in other comments, from last year. And not least, the childs of the neighbours on the right side villa, wich was also the owners of that, screamed and fighted over 3-4 nigts (that's how long they stayed), at 1-2 AM, and their parents seemed to have no problem with that. One night I told them to stopped, because our room was next to their house, and we wake up by their screams.

the location, the facililites and most of all the kindness and availability of the host; very nice attitude!!!

Easy 10 minute walk from Afitos, any closer would have been more expensive. Good air conditioning in every room and good mosquito protection. Nice pool and environment.

No oven gloves or teatowels. No serving dishes Door in one bedroom broken. Stairs and funicular to beach no longer usable (safely). Downstairs bedroom could do with more drawers/shelving

On a positive the owners of the property were amazing and helpful. The house was of a very high specification, clean and set in beautiful gardens. However one of the main reasons we booked this property was that there were swimming pools in the complex and when we arrived non of these pools were full of water and we were unable to use them - if we had known this then we would have cancelled our booking and chosen somewhere else. In speaking to the owners we could use a nearby hotel which was fine but that added to our cost as we had to buy drinks and lunch there to be able to use it. If we had our own pool then we would have made our own lunches and saved money. As we were now in prime season I was very disappointed to not have the facility of the pools and for anyone thinking of booking this property I would encourage you to make sure that they are available and confirmed in writing if this is a facility you require. The address of the property on booking.com is very generic to Afitos and was extremely difficult to find via googlemaps. We got lost and had to ask a shopkeeper if she could call the owners with more specific directions. In the end the owners son had to come and find us and we followed him to the property which is actually in a complex called Porto Thea which, had we have known would have helped in finding the property. We didnt actually get any joining instructions via booking.com until the day after we arrived which was poor.
