In the very heart of Kendal’s ancient centre and yet tucked away in plain sight, the Black Swan Manor is the latest iteration of one of Kendal’s most famous pubs.
With many luxurious features and adding to its wonderful design, this a great place to stay for family get togethers or groups of friends for celebrations galore. Making full use of the space, the Black Swan offers extensive and quirky space to relax across the ground floor, basement and two upper floors.
The ground floor is one huge space created from the various bar areas and now incorporates the latest in contemporary design. A huge TV, built in Sonnos sound system, quirky his ‘n’ hers pub toilets, open plan kitchen and dining with every conceivable luxurious extra. Downstairs needs to be seen to be believed: nestling cheek by jowl with each other are a state-of-the-art cinema room, a snooker room and the craziest cave bar you have ever seen! The Flintstones would be right at home!
And why go back upstairs when you can use the downstairs toilet? But it doesn’t end there, on the two upper floors we have 7 decadent double bedrooms, each individually designed and themed and with 5 bathrooms between them. The design is lavish and unique and from ancient fourposter beds and chandeliers to contemporary and minimalist bathrooms the rooms and spaces will wow you. Complementing the audacious interior is the outside space, consisting of boutique garden areas, hot tub, eating areas and outdoor kitchen, along with secure gated access and vehicle parking for five.
For days out, the Black Swan is within walking distance of all that Kendal has to offer: great pubs, restaurants and shops, along with an unbeatable Arts Centre, often featuring some of the country’s biggest names in entertainment.
For trips out in the car, the Lake District is just 30 mins away or if you are heading east or south, how about the Arnside and Silverdale AONB, Sizergh Castle or the Yorkshire Dales? For families, extended families or groups of friends, the Black Swan Manor is the unbeatable gateway to the Lake District destination at any time of the year.
