Aielli is the most exciting village in the Abruzzo mountains. A must-have to stay over for one or two nights on your bike-packing tour through Abruzzo. The place has everything you need: Safe storage for up to 4 bikes, washing machine, fully equipped kitchen. Everything clean and functional. Directly located in the centre, the mini supermarket is just meters away. You can visit all the fantastic wall paintings and the star observatory in the village by foot. Have dinner in the foot truck close by and enjoy the great kitchen of the chef from Rome.

Giuseppina and Gianluca were perfect hosts. We arrived in the midst of an Italian mid-summer heat wave and our stay in Aielli provided perfect respite. For a small Abruzzi town, Aielli punches well above its weight. A score of murals by professional contemporary artists adorn the walls of the 800 year-old medieval town buildings. The tower now houses an astronomical observatory. Our apartment was fitted with everything we needed for a comfortable stay with our young family: a spotless kitchen, clean, comfortable beds, and super-friendly hosts. They even arranged focaccias to be made fresh for us at the town’s only mini-market. A perfect stay for a bargain price.
