Eastern Sails awaits you! This three bedroom, two bathroom townhouse will serve as the perfect home base while you enjoy the best that Topsail has to offer! Your private oceanfront access will have you on the beach in seconds and making memories to last for years to come.
Upon entering the property you’ll be greeted by an entry where you can kick off your shoes and start making yourself at home. Up a short flight of stairs you will find the first of three bedrooms to your left. This bedroom features a queen size bed and LCD Television to help you settle in for the night. From this room you have access to a full bathroom, which also offers a jack and jill access through the hallway.
Continuing down the hall you’ll enter the open living area. The oceanfront living room features plenty of seating for the whole gang to enjoy the oversized TV player. Wireless internet is included to keep you connected while away from home. The ceiling fan will keep you cool and comfortable after heading in from a sunny beach day. A rollaway guest bed is provided for extra bedtime options. The oceanfront deck can be accessed from this room and will have you on the beach in no time with your private walkover access.
The kitchen at Eastern Sails, updated in the Spring of 2019, opens up to the living and dining areas so you won’t miss a minute of the action! Everything you need for mealtime and entertaining is provided. Granite countertops and stainless steel appliances will help you get things done in style! Bar seating is located at the counter along with a separate dining table, providing plenty of space for your group.
On the third level of the home you will find the remaining bedrooms and bathroom. At the top of the stairs you will find a bedroom to your left featuring a queen size bed and flat screen television. This cozy room will definitely provide you with a tranquil and relaxing retreat at the end of the day!
Down the hall you’ll find the final bedroom featuring two pyramid bunk beds (twin size beds on top and double size on the bottom). This room provides plenty of space for sleeping and is a great spot for the kids. The oceanfront view can’t be beat! A full bathroom joins the two bedrooms with a jack and jill entrance. All of the bedrooms in Eastern Sails provide ceiling fans for extra added comfort on hot summer days.
Eastern Sails can’t be beat for an amazing island experience. Take advantage of all the best that Topsail has offer while you make memories to last a lifetime. Surfing, swimming, shelling fishing, kayaking on the sprawling beaches offer plenty of activities on the Atlantic Ocean. Venture across the road to the intracoastal waterway and experience the calm sound waters where you can kayak, canoe, jet ski or launch your own boat. Topsail has many boutique shops and restaurants as well as several local companies offering rentals and lessons for a variety of water recreation. There is plenty to discover here on Topsail Island! Visit our world famous turtle hospital and our quaint hometown Missiles and More Museum.

I was sent the wrong code to get inside the house and then the third day there I was locked out again because the batteries for the door were dying. Both issues were taken care of in a timely matter and Jen is quick to respond. I loved the house and it’s in a great location! Would definitely stay there again!

The positives: location. The condo is right on the beach. The porch is lovely and there are plastic adirondack chairs to sit on. There felt like plenty of privacy on the porch which was very nice. The owner provided a plastic kiddie pool and beach toys. There is a washer and dryer that work. The kitchen was clean. The counters in the bathrooms look like they are new and the cabinets look nice. The toilets look recently replaced. The couch was old and worn but comfy. The internet worked. Dogs are allowed, which is one of the reasons we chose the place. Also, the owner was very responsive both before and during our stay regarding all questions and concerns.
The negatives: Both showers had some black mold. A door handle was falling out of a bedroom door. The carpet, while technically clean, is very worn and stained throughout the upstairs; it really takes away from a clean feel. Several lights in the halls and stairway were not working properly. Some of the older furniture , including the kitchen table, had a layer of grime. A quick power wash or good scrub down would really make a difference. The trash can in the master was rusty and deformed. We could not find a broom to sweep up sand inside the unit. There was a vacuum that worked and we thought it could pick up the sand, but we could not get it to pick up the sand. None of these items make a real negative impression on their own, but collectively it made the place feel unloved. This was a newer rental listing and we just felt like a lot of small details were overlooked.
The biggest problem for us were finding roaches and other bugs upstairs and down. We could not leave any food out and saw an unusually high amount of bugs everyday during our stay.
We did contact the owner who offered to send someone to replace the light bulbs, remove the broken glass, and spray for bugs. Again, she did respond very quickly. We elected for the light bulb replacement, but passed on the other two. We had a dog and small child with us and simply did not want to deal with the bug treatment. The owner mentioned that the condo was already under a treatment plan and now realized there was still some work to do. We understand that these things can happen, but it did take away from a 5 star experience.
This condo does have 5 star potential, but it simply did not reach that stage during our visit.
