Brilliant, we loved it, would love to come again

Very comfortable, clean caravan, it is well equipped with a large decking area with sea views. There are only 6 caravans and all have adjacent parking. It is only minutes walk to the beach. There is a handy shop on site and also the friendly owners.

The only downside is the steep gravel access to the caravan and entrance steps. Without a ramp, that would make it difficult for disabled access. The site is on a steep hill and may be awkward to access the beach.

Great location close to the beach and 10 min walk to the cafe for a fry up! lovely sea view from window, quiet site, dog friendly, large comfy sofa, radiators on when we arrived! Couldn’t have asked for more ☺️

Incredible accommodation with breathtaking views

What an incredible property. We stayed as a large group celebrating New Years Eve and couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay. From the room configurations, hot tubs, sea views, games room, bar and lounge area, kitchen facilities (the list goes on!), it could not have been a better stay. Would highly recommend to anyone considering to stay.

Chilled, comfortable & great location

Accommodation was spotless & very comfortable with all facilities we needed. Decking was secure for my dog which was great. View from caravan was beautiful & a lovely walk down along Blue Anchor Bay sea front. Had a super meal at the pub there as well.

Lovely mini break away

Been to Blue Anchor many times, beautiful views, slow paced. Anchors Drop is ideal for a slow paced break away. Plenty of walks. Dogs welcome is a bonus. Ticks all the boxes. The small shop is a great idea. Definitely booking again for next year. Owners very friendly and helpful.

Beds a little lumpy! Shame the pub isn't open to guests staying within the site.

Nice place to hole up for a few days and rest from travelling.

Self catering and the facilities were ideal. Really nice break for 3 days in a location with great views and near enough to Minehead for supplies. Owners were most helpful.

Disappointing

Nice and quiet location with a great view of the sea.

We didn’t like the check-in. The place was unlocked with the keys just sitting inside, and since the grounds aren’t gated, it didn’t feel safe at all. No towels were provided on arrival—we had to call and locate the property manager to get them. The hot water also didn’t work on our first morning, and we had to shower with cold water. The boiler is very old and unreliable; although we had hot water for the rest of the stay, it was nearly impossible to get a comfortable temperature—it was either scalding hot or freezing cold. The Wi-Fi was extremely poor. The router plug was literally held together with tape. The beds were hard and uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The kitchen was in poor condition: the equipment was dirty, heavily worn, and the oven tray was completely black. Although there was dishwashing liquid, there were no sponges provided to clean anything. Overall, the quality of the accommodation did not match the price we paid. We expected much better, we won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it to others.

Relaxing paradise retreat

The caravan was clean, amazing views of Bristol Channel, with great spacious decking. perfect little shop open daily on the site with everyday essentials. Marcus and Cara were very welcoming and help us with all our needs. Location of site perfect on the seafront, walking distance from the beach. We definitely be recommending to friends and family and will be returning 🙂

Good communication. Smooth checkin. Welcome basket with tea, coffee & milk in the fridge. Great location. Accommodation is lovely & clean. Very dog friendly. Such a great spot overlooking the sea; only a 2 minutes walk to the nice sandy beach when it’s low tide.

The photographs were misleading, not as nice or as clean as the majority of the photographs.

The location was good as there was a nice view across the sea and of the sunset.

The hosts said they would leave a welcome pack but there was only one tea bag, there were two of us staying, the coffee left had gone hard in the jar, they could have put fresh coffee tea and milk in the fridge. There was a big gap where there obviously was an old fridge, it had been replaced with a lovely fridge freezer but the gap with a hole in the floor was still there. There were cobwebs eveywhere and a few spiders that were obviously just left for a while and therefore it was not cleaned properly. There was a teapot with no lid. The cupboards were grubby. There were some vitamins that someone had obviously left, I feel they should have been removed. The light in the ensuite did not work. The decking was a bit dodgy, needs replacing. The hook for the door was no longer there and therefore we had to wedge it open with two chairs to stop it banging in the wind, it was a very hot weekend. An oven glove would have been useful.

Beautiful little gem of a site

Views from property were absolutely amazing and the egg chair on the balcony was an added luxury. Property has 2 toilets which is useful with a family of 4. The L shaped sofa is also a recliner on both ends giving that bit extra when all seated during the evening. Bedding and towels provided and easy access upon arrival. Owners popped up to check we needed anything which was kind. Managed to see quite a lot during our weekend stay.

Unfortunately there is no blind in the bathroom so taking a shower with the light on is not possible. It was very hot weather during our stay so needed to open all windows wide upon arrival. On doing so I was covered in thick cobwebs which were behind the net curtains. Some hosted rather large spiders! There were nicotine patches left in the shower. My daughters were both covered with tiny black bugs during the night, presumably from outside as they had window slightly open due to the heat, so slept in the lounge. Maybe a window screen could be fitted to the small bedroom and bathroom too? Just a suggestion.

Wasn’t clean upon arrival, no hot water upon arrival, and was to tired to go and speak to owners as had travelled a long way to see elderly parents, two pairs of men’s under pants in property from previous people, I would come back again if there was more attention to detail.

Breakfast was very good, cook breakfast if you wanted it, toast, yogurts. Gorgeous view of the sunsetting. Shower was not the best. Nice quiet location, though the bar was busy some nights. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

A perfect bolthole when wanting a quiet time away from the humdrum

The place was spotless and was so peaceful. The beach only a short walk and the costal walking path right next to it. The property had everything that was needed to make the stay comfortable. The place is totally dog friendly.

Beautiful surroundings with sea view , watching the sunset in the evenings was wonderful & very relaxing. Caravan was very comfortable & had all we needed perfect when having young children for a short break.

Absolutely loved our stay! The little house was perfect — right next to the sea with extraordinary sunset views. The host was excellent and gave us all the details we needed before arrival, which made everything super smooth. The house itself was spotless, with very comfortable bedding and beds. There was always hot water, and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking. We spent 3 nights there, took a walk to Dunster Castle, and most importantly, spent the majority of our time on the beach — just a 5-minute walk from the house. Couldn’t have asked for a better coastal escape!
