The location and many interesting items in the apartment. It was very spacious though spread on two levels.
Our beds were comfortable.
No closet, so you need to keep your clothes in the suitcase or on two hooks on the door.
No instructions for air conditioning. Movable air conditioning needs an open window for the exhaust air. Heat comes in… you hear people talking in front seating at the square or in a coffee shop underneath. I believe there could be much restrictions in fixing an air conditioner on the facade. So it’s the compromise. It was simply very hot when we stayed in Evora!

This property is magical. If the photos appeal to you, you will love it. The location is fantastic and the owner is charming and will be available to answer any questions. Don’t miss the view from the rooftop; golden hour glowing stone buildings and after dark a night sky of sparkling diamond stars.
Regarding other reviews- yes, The stairs are steep. That said, there are doors and gates so completely safe for children. (This would be a wonderful place for a family) If you find stairs too daunting, you probably won’t manage Portugal well anyway, as the best views require a little climb!

The location of the apartment was great. The price was amazing. We visited during a very cold rainy time and the apartment was not very warm. We also had some leaking from the wind and rain. The tile in the apartment was very pretty and it was authentic to the culture. We found the bathrooms (shower) difficult to use because of size and handheld. The facilities could be upgraded a little and it would be much more comfortable.
