Enjoy this exquisite condo conveniently located on the second floor. It offers a private balcony with easy access to the beach. Your reservation includes beach service of two chairs and one umbrella. The beachside complex offers a 5,000-square-foot pool, a splash garden for the kids, a kiddy pool, and a large hot tub. Also, you have an annually heated pool beneath the villas. The beachside also has a state of the art Fitness Gym. The bayside offers a 700-foot lazy river, a heated pool with a waterfall flowing into it, and two large hot tubs in the center of the bayside complex. There is also a gradual decline pool that feeds into the Lazy River. The bridge connecting the beachside complex to the bayside complex makes using all of the amenities at Destin West easy. There are charcoal grills and picnic tables on both the bayside and beachside make grilling out fun. This is the perfect location since The Gulfarium, The Boardwalk, and many shops and restaurants are within walking distance.

A well-equipped kitchen features a side-by-side refrigerator equipped with ice, ultra-quiet dishwasher, oven with smooth top range, and a built-in microwave. The kitchen also features a coffee maker, toaster, and blender. There are two TVs with VCR and DVD.

The elegant primary bedroom has a private bathroom. There is also a private washer/dryer, and WiFi is included.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Destin West, thanks to the seamless online booking and check-in process. Upon arrival, we appreciated the convenience of going directly to our condo using the provided code, where all necessary materials awaited us. The cleanliness and furnishings of the condo were commendable, and the inclusion of full-size toiletries and beach service added to the overall experience. While the bed frame and mattress showed signs of wear, it didn't significantly detract from our sleep quality. Despite this minor issue, we had an excellent vacation and eagerly anticipate our return.

Enjoyed the property and the condo. Better signage is needed to explain how to get a cart to the parking deck with so many directions leading to only stairs but other than that it was perfect for what we needed for a kid sports event for the weekend. Would love to come back when it is warm enough to better enjoy the pool and beach. The condo & property were very clean.

G207 looks down on the end of a long narrow curving pool. The building is curved. This combination reflected and reduced noise at this end of the pool. This September location was super quiet all around. The pool and the beach are very short walks from this room. Another pool on the opposite side of the building was just as close and mostly empty. Views east and west were of clean and well kept properties. The boardwalk to the beach was expensively constructed and in excellent condition including seating above the beach in view of the sunset. G207 was super clean with new appliances and matching wares in the kitchen. It is inexpensively furnished but everything is in very good condition. Earlier reviewers didn't like the firm master bed but, thankfully, perfect for us. The facility is very well kept. Maintenance staff are always visible. Paint in the unit and externally appeared new and well done. If you miss the out of site portico for unloading to the left of the garage entrance, soft rubber tired carts will easily make the very short trip to the garage. This is the calming influence you are looking for at a good price.

This was our very first time visiting Florida and the resort was probably our favorite part! We loved the amenities and amazing views. This definitely was a 10/10 experience for me and my family. The room was very clean, although it had a horrible smell in it when we got there, we brought air freshener and it was fine after that. The Wi-Fi wasn’t great, didn’t expect it to be because after all its a large resort and many people using it would most likely slow it down, other than that everything was amazing! Staff was helpful, people were friendly, our room was in a great location and it had Easy beach access.

We loved being on the beach and the amenities of the property. Overall it was a good stay and perfect for our family. The Bayside property had heated pools so if it’s not quiet warm enough for ocean water, I’d stay on that side. It was nice to be able to walk to restaurants so the location was great. The condo itself could use some updates. The dishwasher was a little wonky and the disposal didn’t work, but overall it met our needs.

Customer service from Vacasa and local management leaves alot to be desired. I spent a good portion of my vacation time just trying to get answers on the status of our washer dryer in the unit. Not being notified as to when the technicians were coming led to some awkward moments to say the least not to mention the loss of the full use of the condo during those times. Now having read back over some of the other issues mentioned in reviews it appears the these matters go back some months with no action. But at least they reimbursed us $60.00 for the loss of the use of the washer dryer that was noted as broke 5 days before we got there with no notice. So there is that.

The condo was fine. Then furniture was very worn and 1 of the 2 patio chairs had a hole in it. We got there Thur night put some clothes in the washer it would fill with some water and stop. So let them know about it first thing Fri morning. They kept saying someone was coming to look at it. They never did and never got it fixed. So I had to take the clothes that were wet in the washer and put in bathtub to rinse them, wring them out and put in dryer so they wouldn’t sour. Had I known we didn’t have a working washer we would not have stayed there. We use the washer when we are on vacation. We only brought 1 beach towel a person and couldn’t wash them. Drain was stopped up in shower and light out in shower. My husband fixed those things.

Great resort - but very poor condo. Furniture is broken, ripped, stained. There were two holes in the wall. Outlets didn’t work. The resort is wonderful but this particular unit is terrible and needs work.

Destin West Resort - Gulfside 207 is a very nice unit, but it needs some minor maintenance and updates that would make it a 5 star condo and quality competition with the other units on the property. Great entryway, loved the smell of cleanliness when you walked into the unit, loved the nice sized refrigerator in the kitchen, enjoyed the view of the pool. However, I would suggest as others have to replace the seat cushions for the patio chairs and throw the old rip ones in the corner away, please, please invest in better outlets throughout the unit as I see from other reviews that this has been an ongoing issue. It was quiet annoying to have to go in the car to charge some of our devices because when you awoke in the morning your electronic device you thought was charging all night was not, and most of the other outlets would not hold the charger in the wall:(. Please replace the door to the master bath and the hole in the wall in the master bedroom under the window. Also, consider replacing the TV in the master bedroom to a bigger one appropriate for a master bedroom. Lastly, please consider pulling up the remaining carpet in the unit and replacing with matching tile or laminate wooden flooring.

The resort is awesome! My family loved the beach, pools, lazy river, hot tubs, and marina access. The room had very nice appliances but had the feel of a Motel 6. The furniture needs repaired or replaced, a light fixture needs replaced, many outlets would not hold a charger without it falling out, vcr needs to be replaced with streaming device, cheap bedding, horrible beach view due to the trees but great view of the pool. After an exhausting day, we returned to the room only to be locked out for two hours until a locksmith showed up to cut the lock off the door. When expressing my concern with Vacasa, I was offered a $100 credit which I considered an insult for a $4000 reservation.

We really like the area, pool & being so close to the beach. The condos couch smelled old (we put sheets down just to have somewhere to sit)chair & dining room chairs are also nasty. The 2 outdoor chairs need to be replaced. Bedroom & bathrooms fine. I really think the owners need to replace that old couch & chair. Then I think no one would have complaints.

Great condo

We absolutely loved our stay at Destin West! This will be our normal spot from now on! The room was clean and equipped for everything we needed! The only complaint would be the paper thin sheet on the master bed and the headboard is not attached and hits the wall every time you move, however that is minor compared to everything! We had a great view of the pool and could see the beach. Was so nice to sit on the balcony drinking coffee and having breakfast. Everyone at the facility was kind and helpful!

Great Location on the 2nd floor, and lots of fun amenities and the resort. I will defiantly stay again. I would give this 5 stars but both seat cushions on the patio were ripped on both sides. Very easy and inexpensive item to fix. Also, 10Am check out is a little early.. 11 would have worked better. I would pay a little extra for a Noon check In vs 4pm check in. Everything was excellent. Walking distance to restaurants, shops, the pier, etc. Thank you, Kathy : )

One outlet by the master bath, in the bedroom was broken, only the bottom portion of the outlet worked. VERY annoying. Everything else was very accommodating!! I would DEFINITELY rent from them again!! As far as the condo, the furniture leaves MUCH to be desired. Night one, while trying to figure out the why remotes didn’t work, looking for a possible different remote, I looked through the tv stand and a door fell off and landed on my foot. Minor issue, but set the stage. The chairs cushions on the patio are shredded and look very low income from the pool area. Broken arm on inside chair and none of the furniture matched. It wasn’t an expensive unit, in comparison to others in the building, so it wasn’t a huge deal, but truly you could get better furniture at a thrift store.

Real review - Nicely sized place and has great potential. A few suggestions here to make it a solid 4+ stars...The issues: There are no consumables so make sure to bring salt and pepper. TV remote in the bedroom doesn't control the TV and honestly, for the price, you could upgrade it to a larger TV. The chair in the living room was clearly broken and needs to be replaced. Patio view is good but the palm trees block most of it so you get a narrow view of the pool and you have to stretch to see the ocean. But they are visible !! The supplied paper products are the cheapest available. Again, for the price, you could step that up to improve the experience. Place was clean overall. Outlets were old and most didn't work. They might have been tied to light switches but good luck finding which ones turn on the outlet. Oh and please either remove or actually attach the headboard to the master room bed. If you move it slams against the wall. When I looked it was not attached to the bed. It would be a good idea to paint the walls and frame / steps for the two bunk beds. Lastly, supplied towels are old and worn out. This is a really nice spot and could easily be updated to be a 4+ star vacation unit. Just need a few details attended to.

Great stay. The outdoor furniture needs to be updated and the plug-ins need to be replaced as our chargers kept coming out. Others complained the beds were hard but they did not bother me. The drain in the master suite tub doesn’t drain well. Access to the beach was easy and the pools were amazing. No more than we were in our room it more than served it’s purpose. Would stay here again.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Destin West and have always enjoyed it! The room was clean and had plenty of towels. As previous reviews said, it definitely needs updating and not just cosmetics. The master bed was very uncomfortable (hard) and you couldn’t turn over without the headboard hitting the wall or the bed creaking. I was very surprised the bunks were as soft as they were. The couches in the living room were old and uncomfortable and the patio had only 2 chairs and the cushions were torn. The refrigerator is nice and has an ice maker! The unit is more of a pool view due to the palm trees blocking the view to the beach. The owners definitely need to give it some TLC and it would be nice!

This condo offers no luxuries. The furniture is outdated and provides no comfort if you are stuck inside during bad weather. The mattress is very firm, non pillow top, older unit. If you prefer to sleep on a firm non plush bed, you’ll sleep just fine. If you end up being stuck inside most of your vacation due to rain, you won’t be comfortable the owners haven’t spent any money on this place to provide a relaxing environment. The resort is a very nice place. The pools are clean and access to the pools and beach are very convenient. The owner of this condo needs to take two weeks profits and buy some new furniture!

My wife and I had this condo booked for July 3rd - July 9th. Unfortunately, our stay was accommodated by long rainy days. The furniture in this condo is very old and out dated. The only lounge chair is broken and provides no comfort. The sofa is a very old high back with high sides that make it impossible to spend any long amount of time on it to relax. The cushions for the outdoor seating are old and torn. We left the condo on the 5th due to the poor weather and lack of accommodations inside that needed to be there to provide a comfortable space to relax. The mattress in the master bedroom is an older thin non pillow top firm mattress. If you like a firm bed with no plush, you’ll sleep just fine. I will say the Vacasa staff we spoke with were very nice. Destin West is a great resort, we will certainly consider staying there again just not in Gulfside 207. The owner needs to step up and invest a small portion of their profits into new furniture.

We had a great time at this resort and would visit again! The location of this condo was great. Close to the gorgeous beach and overlooking the “gulf side pool”(through a frame of palm trees off the balcony) was really awesome. The condo itself was super clean and didn’t have the normal mildew smell that I’ve become used to with beach side condos (def a plus!) and the owners have obviously listened to past reviews about their fridge (new, giant S/S fridge in unit) so I wanted to gently list a few improvements that I think would greatly enhance this unit. New mattress (seriously, I haven’t hurt like that after a night of sleep in a long time). New cushions for balcony seating (they’re completely shredded with stuffing hanging out of them). New couches (I used the spare sheets to completely cover the couch and chair for us to sit on). I doubt the owner of this unit actually vacations in it and you can definitely tell. Otherwise, was a fun getaway!!

The location of the condo within the property was fine. It wasn’t a long walk to the beach access. It just didn’t feel clean. I’m guessing it’s the carpet, but my kids feet were black after running around for a little bit. My guess is there hasn’t been updates since the Condo was built. There were no frills to make the condo feel “homey.” What little decor was hanging was dusty, and there was dust all around the air vents. Part of the sink faucet was broken, and made a horrible noise when turned on. The shower faucets were so old- and you couldn’t adjust them. The outdoor chair cushions were ripped in pieces. We wrapped them in towels to sit outside. The TVs could use updating as well. So many updates and upgrades need to be done to make this place worth the money.

The beach access is easy-the walk across the bridge to the pool wasn’t bad at all. I would recommend bringing a blanket as a very thin one is provided and no extra linens. The condo could use updating and cosmetic paint updates. Otherwise the condo was clean and balcony overlooks the gulf side pool. Plenty of towels provided.

Nice unit. We have stayed in several units at Destin West -gulf and bay side. This one met our needs, but the kitchen had a few “problems “-no large frying pan, no pot holders and a leaky coffee pot. Hopefully, these items will be fixed. Some spots on the walls need paint touch-ups which would make the unit feel neater and fresher. Otherwise, it’s a great location. We had friends staying on the fourth floor, so we enjoyed a better view from their unit, but you can see a bit of the water from the balcony and a lovely view of the pool. It’s a short walk to the pool and the beach. The bunk bed mattress was too flat and hard , so I just slept on the couch. I would stay again especially since they allowed us to stay a day longer and the ease of checking in and out. And the price was very reasonable. Thank you.

We enjoyed our stay. The mattress was the most comfortable we've had in many vacations. The only thing I think would be nice is if the condo managers would trim the trees near the condo balcony. We could not see anything from our 2nd story balcony overlooking the pools except the trees.

First off I have to say, we did NOT book this condo, the condo we booked was across the street for less than half the price (but same set up/condo) just different building. The people took the condo off the rental site, so we were compensated with condo 207 for the same price. I would have NEVER paid the price they are asking for this condo. The condo was very nice, but in no way worth the asking price. The disposal did not work, so we had to keep plunging the sink, there was no cutting board at all and NO Tupperware at all, nothing to store left over food in. The unit was not updated at all and had rust running down the fridge. They had a guest book on the coffee table that dated back to 2003 and everyone had the same complaints. You would think that 13 years of the same comments, the owners might get the hint. We had to buy air mattresses because my two 17 year olds could not sleep on the hard bunk beds. I sat on the bottom and it felt like just a plank of wood. Also, no storage at all in the bunk room. It would be really nice if they could put a curved shower curtain rod in the master bath to make it feel a little larger. Also, the sliding door to the patio had a 3 inch lip at the bottom that we all tripped over many many times. They also only had 2 chairs on the balcony, we had 4 people so we could not all sit outside together. With all that said, it was a very nice complex with a TON to do. We had 15 family members (4 in this unit and 11 across the street in the Sandpiper bldg) stay and we would totally go back. I know this sounds like a bad review, but unit 207 was nice and we had a great time. A few small improvements would make a big difference in comfort especially for the price they are asking. Also free beach service (chairs and umbrella) and a cart to take everything to the beach would have made a huge difference to us. Some pictures of the actual unit would have been nice. The full size fridge and stove were awesome. The furniture was comfortable in the living room area. The pools were clean and fun for all ages but OMG do NOT forget your bracelet or you will never get into the lazy river!!! It was odd how strict they were for the lazy river, but no other pool. It is a LONG walk back to your room if you forget that bracelet. All in all... it was a GREAT vacation and nice condo.
